Role Summary:

This incumbent will be responsible for delivering the unit's risk engineering management strategy. He/she will provide advice, expertise and knowledge to the underwriting team on risk management solutions to ensure business and technical strategies are aligned to the company's risk appetite, Risk guidelines and regulatory requirements.

The Risk Engineering Lead, reports to the Technical Director. This role also has accountability for ensuring implementation of standardized RE practices across KSA in accordance with company's guidelines.

This job also involves performing physical risk assessment surveys at Liva insured & prospect risks located in KSA, in accordance with Liva's Risk Control Guideline. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the implementation of Risk engineering Guidelines
  • Lead the Accumulation & Exposure Management activities in accordance with the Liva's guidelines.
  • Review & establish survey criteria, survey pipeline and work assignment for KSA.
  • Conduct detailed site survey of insured/prospect properties in KSA. Risk Assessment includes review of COPE, Human element programs, process control and maintenance items and calculating Property Damage, Business Interruption Loss Estimates.
  • Review fire protection system designs and installations in accordance with the local Fire & Life Safety code and international standards such as NFPA & FM Global Data Sheets.
  • Ensure the report quality aligned with Liva's report formats meeting the minimum technical & language quality standards.
  • Providing directions, followups, and support to customers on risk improvement proposals that would help to progressively better the risk exposure and thereby reduce the likelihood of incidents.
