Reporting to the Engineering Organization, the Electrical Engineer designs, develops, and improves new and existing products using sound engineering principles. He/she provides technical support to manufacturing, sustaining, and field operations, troubleshooting electrical problems from the component level to the system level. He/she also supports the field service department in troubleshooting Drilling rig electrical control system problems. He/she creates bills of materials, drawings, and assembly instructions. He/she may mentor designers, technicians, and engineers.
- Generates and reviews documents such as design requirements, block diagrams, flowcharts, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, bills of materials, test plans, test procedures, inspection procedures, user’s manuals, and maintenance manuals etc
- Performs engineering calculations as required
- Designs electrical rig packages with integrated systems for power distribution and controls tailored to specific rigs.
- Conducts installation and commissioning of various oilfield equipment for DC/AC rigs.
- Provides support for rigging up, commissioning, FAT, endurance tests, as required.
- Creates test fixture, test setup, and test equipment for engineering, manufacturing, sustaining, and field operation from component level to system level
- Performs hands-on tests, completes reports, and does results analysis promptly
- Experience with VFD architecture, Inductive / Resistive loads, MCCs, Switchgear / Transformer sizing, Relay Logic, Generator Control hardware, SCR Drives, Electrical System Grounding and Bonding techniques
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Performs hands-on work in design, test, shop work, field test, and field operation support in rig location
- Effectively work with the team, group, and the organization.
- Participates in meetings within the organization and with vendors, clients, contract manufacturers, and other relevant parties
- Performs multi-tasking across engineering, sustaining, manufacturing, and field operation groups
- Design and installation of electrical systems as per API, IEEE, ANSI, NFPA, IECEx, ATEX and UL codes and standards
- Performs development engineering for both new and existing products
- Maintains product safety in all designs
- Participates in company safety meetings and safety awareness
- Performs design prototyping, including field implementation and testing
- Follows required regulatory codes

THE LINE region contains a variety of projects in a 9,500km2 land area, including the initial Hidden Marina Mirror Line phase 1 modules, the Landscapes of THE LINE, three ‘special projects’ and the NEOM International Airport (NIA).
Requirements Summary
- Experience with Electrical Engineering from a consultant and client perspective, experience with approvals process in KSA an asset.
- Experience with super highrise, complex iconic projects with world class architectural design firms an asset
- Experience with SBC and/or US codes and standards an asset
- Experience in process mapping and process modelling tools.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Review and adopt the studies already carried out by the LINE Proponent Infrastructure team and the LINE Design Engineering team, develop further ‘non-project projects’ as appropriate.
- Utilize industry knowledge and network to source opportunities for Electrical Engineering. Evaluate and select technologies that align with our goals and can be seamlessly integrated into our projects.
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances with technology providers, research institutions, and industry experts. Foster collaboration to accelerate adoption of innovations where these have value to the process.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence. Provide mentorship, guidance, and direction to ensure the successful execution of the Electrical Engineering strategy.

Role Purpose:
The Associate Manager Electrical Engineering is responsible for leading the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical and automation systems across food and beverage production facilities. This role will focus on industrial automation, SCADA integration, preventive maintenance, and the continuous digital transformation of operations to ensure high equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Automation & Control Systems
Lead and oversee industrial automation systems, including SCADA integration, PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley), MES domain, and IoT implementation.
Ensure efficient operation of SCADA infrastructure, including servers (application, domain, historian, SAP MII), clients, and PLC networks.
Implement and upgrade control systems for pasteurizers, filler machines, packaging lines, and robotics.
2. Electrical Maintenance Leadership
Supervise and manage daily electrical activities across dairy and beverage production lines.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical and instrumentation systems.
Lead and mentor a cross-functional maintenance team (mechanical, electrical, and automation).
Monitor and improve key maintenance KPIs including downtime analysis, RCA, and reliability indices.
3. Projects & Commissioning
Lead the end-to-end execution of electrical and automation aspects of new industrial projects.
Oversee installation and commissioning of equipment including milk silos, pasteurizers, filling machines, and wastewater treatment systems.
Ensure project compliance with internal engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Calibration & Compliance
Oversee calibration and certification of field instruments per preventive maintenance plans.
Handle internal and external calibration audits and maintain up-to-date documentation.
Participate in cybersecurity audits (e.g., NCA) and ensure system integrity.
5. Continuous Improvement & SOPs
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production automation and process efficiency.
Develop and document SOPs and lessons learned to support staff development and operational excellence.
Coordinate with procurement to manage spare parts inventory and vendor communication.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
6+ years of experience in industrial automation and electrical maintenance within the food & beverage or manufacturing sector.
Strong hands-on experience with SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware), PLC programming, and control networks.
Solid understanding of project management, commissioning, and operational excellence tools.
Certifications in OSHA, Project Management, PLC Programming, Cybersecurity, and HMI are preferred.
Proficient in root cause analysis, downtime tracking, and KPI reporting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.
Key Achievements (Preferred Profile Traits):
SCADA upgrades and redundancy implementation.
Integration of industrial machines with SAP MII.
Successful commissioning of robotics, pasteurizers, and packaging lines.
