Overview

We are seeking an Oil Reservoir Management Engineer s with extensive experience of Oil Reservoir Management to join our Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center in Dhahran.

Our Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center provides expert advice and guidance on all aspects of oil reservoir management, including designing, participating in and implementing best-in-class reservoir management programs. This position is embedded within the Petroleum Engineering business and as a senior technical specialist, you will engage with leaders and experts from across the upstream business.

Your primary role is to manage some of the world's largest onshore and offshore oil fields, conduct pioneering research, introduce new technologies and provide specialized engineering services as part of the customized reservoir management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Provide guidance and oversight on best-in-class reservoir management tenets, practices and state of the art technologies for all Saudi Aramco hydrocarbon assets.
  • Formulate reservoir development, data acquisition, strategic surveillance and monitoring master-plans to ensure optimal development and depletion strategies.
  • Utilize reservoir management standards and guidelines to enhance both net present value and hydrocarbon recovery.
  • Lead, design and participate in integrated field reviews and field development plans.
  • Preparing reservoir engineering input into drilling and work-over proposals and programs.
  • Recommend advanced completion techniques for horizontal and multi-lateral wells.
  • Lead and participate in reservoir engineering studies that include reservoir stimulation modeling of various International Offshore Rule (IOR) processes for improvement of ultimate recovery.
  • Participate in technical societies and technical groups.
  • As a successful candidate, you must hold a Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline. A Master degree or PhD is desirable, but not required.
  • You should have a minimum of 10 years related experience including at least 7 years specializing in oil reservoir management. A training history of appropriate specialized courses and seminars is expected. Technical publications are valued but in-depth practical experience is paramount.
  • You must have full professional proficiency in English required to interact and communicate clearly with specialists in geology, core and fluid analysis, petrophysics, simulation, drilling, completion, production and facilities.
  • You must have working knowledge of open-hole and cased-hole logs, geological modeling, simulation, completion and production procedures and technologies.
  • Technical knowledge and expertise are required in formation evaluation, geological modeling, simulation, reservoir appraisal and field development planning, completion, production/injection procedures-strategy-technologies, water flooding, reservoir surveillance, SCAL, PVT, geochemical analysis, and fluid's compatibility. Additionally, expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and data analytics are desirable but not required.

Working as part of a single LINE organization to be accountable for the successful delivery of the Structural Engineering from a Design and Construction strategy and systems perspective of THE LINE region.

THE LINE region contains a variety of projects in a 9,500km2 land area, including the initial Hidden Marina Mirror Line phase 1 modules, the Landscapes of THE LINE, three ‘special projects’ and the NEOM International Airport (NIA).

Requirements

  • Experience with Structural Engineering from a consultant and client perspective, experience with Super highrise engineering, wind and performance based seismic design beneficial.

Being part of the team accountable for delivering the multi-disciplinary engineering for THE LINE region.
  • Working with a team of discipline staff to provide support to the LINE Design Project Engineering Management teams for the regional assets as well as oversight of what LINE Projects are procuring / managing. Working with THE LINE Design in setting Structural engineering strategies.
  • Overall accountability for the success delivery of the Structural Engineering systems in the LINE regional assets (i.e. irrespective of how that work is delivered)


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director – Structural Engineering to develop a comprehensive Structural Engineering strategy aligned with the LINE delivery strategy
  • Support the Director – Structural Engineering to develop implementation plans for Structural Engineering that consider project-specific requirements, timelines, and budgets. Align plans with the overarching mission and objectives, ensuring a clear roadmap for achieving our goals. Review and adopt the studies already carried out by the LINE Proponent Infrastructure team and the LINE Design Engineering team, develop further ‘non-project projects’ as appropriate.

Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Structural Engineering and related fields.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.

  • High level of emotional intelligence and diplomacy.


Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree Preferred or evidence of equal equivalent through professional memberships

About the Opportunity:

We are one of the delivery partners for NEOM THE LINE, one of the most iconic giga projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Based at NEOM Site, Jacobs has an opening for a Consultant – Structural Engineering .

Working as part of a single LINE organization to be accountable for the successful delivery of the Structural Engineering from a Design and Construction strategy and systems perspective of THE LINE region.

Requirements:

  1. Experience with Structural Engineering from a consultant and client perspective; experience with super high-rise engineering, wind and performance-based seismic design beneficial.
  2. Experience in process mapping and process modeling tools.
  3. Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  5. Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Competence in negotiating with stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  7. Flexibility to adjust engagement strategies based on changing circumstances or feedback.
  8. Ability to lead and influence others to achieve desired outcomes.
  9. Uphold ethical standards in all stakeholder interactions and communications.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Successful delivery of the Structural Engineering Strategy, Design and Construction scope for THE LINE in a manner that supports the successful delivery of the project goals in terms of budget, schedule, quality and sustainability.
  2. Working with a team of discipline staff to provide support to the LINE Design Project Engineering Management teams for the regional assets.
  3. Overall accountability for the successful delivery of the Structural Engineering systems in the LINE regional assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Director – Structural Engineering to develop a comprehensive Structural Engineering strategy aligned with the LINE delivery strategy.
  2. Support the Director – Structural Engineering to develop implementation plans for Structural Engineering that consider project-specific requirements, timelines, and budgets.
