Responsibilities:

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Decarbonization & Energy Consultant to join our award-winning team based in Riyadh KSA.

We are seeking a motivated Sustainability & Energy Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in energy auditing, GHG emissions calculations, and sustainability projects. They should have knowledge of international frameworks such as GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, ISO 50001, and Net Zero strategies. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, technical skills, and the ability to support the delivery of high-quality reports, proposals, and presentations.

We envisage success in this role to include:

Energy & Carbon Management:

  • Support Level 1 and 2 energy audits, providing energy efficiency recommendations.
  • Support GHG emissions calculations and reporting based on GHG Protocol and ISO
  • Support clients in developing science-based targets.
  • Assist in climate risk assessments and climate resilience studies.
  • Contribute to net-zero planning studies for clients.
  • Support clients in developing awareness of ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems.

Technical & Consulting Expertise:

  • Support HVAC system assessments and optimization studies.
  • Contribute to technical and commercial proposals and RFP responses.
  • Support renewable energy project evaluations and energy transition studies.

Communication & Business Development:

  • Prepare high-quality reports, proposals, and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Contribute to proposal preparation when needed.

Project & Stakeholder Management:

  • Support the delivery of sustainability and energy projects.
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement with internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate sustainability across projects.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 3+ years' of experience contributing to sustainability and energy management initiatives for a diverse client base., or a related field partnered with a Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Energy Management, or a related field.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Energy Management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in sustainability consulting, energy management, or a related field.
  • Some experience supporting Level 1 and 2 energy audits.
  • Knowledge of GHG emissions accounting and sustainability standards (GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, SBTi).
  • Familiarity with ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with datasets.
  • Basic knowledge of feasibility assessments for sustainability and energy projects.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office software.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and renewable energy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, supporting multiple projects simultaneously.

Contribute to initiate, plan, and execute projects that enable renewable energy technologies and applications for deployment and commercialization in the Kingdom either by advancement through higher levels of TRL or by testing, modification, or adaptation of standards for mature technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Review the plans and programs that have been put for the development of renewable energy programs and technologies in order to make recommendations in a way that contributes to meeting the needs of Saudi Arabia in these sectors.

  • Lead in-depth studies on energy demand forecasting and sustainability-driven solutions to enhance Saudi Arabia's energy security and transition toward a diversified energy mix.
  • Provide the needed support to develop and implement renewable energy agreements and projects by thoroughly studying the technologies used in implementing those projects and agreements.
  • Carry out any other related tasks or responsibilities as requested by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in a related field.

Support the implementation and coordination of projects related to technology operations and applications within the energy and environmental domains. Ensure all activities align with organizational policies, technical standards, and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in evaluating emerging technologies and applications relevant to small and medium-scale renewable energy technologies, including cooling, heating, and water desalination technologies, assessing their potential benefits, limitations, and associated risks.
