for a
Wellness Chef (Culinary Nutrition Specialist)
.

The Wellness Chef will design and prepare balanced, health-focused meals and create tailored meal plans that meet the nutritional and lifestyle needs of executive participants.

The program will begin with one individual and may expand to include up to four or five additional Executive Officers based on results and engagement. The Chef will work closely with participants to understand their habits, preferences, and wellness objectives, while staying current with the latest culinary and nutrition trends.

— delivering practical workshops for cooks and staff on healthy meal preparation, portion control, ingredient sourcing, and modern, health-conscious cooking methods.

Qualifications

• Expertise in culinary arts, recipe development, and meal planning
• Strong understanding of nutrition science and dietary needs
• Experience in food safety and kitchen hygiene
• Ability to provide personalized nutrition and health advice
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills (English is a must; Arabic is an asset)
• Culinary or nutrition degree/certification is a must
• Experience working in a wellness or health-focused environment is a plus

JOB PURPOSE:

• Carry out thorough individual mental and emotional health consultations with guests to establish a detailed case history, assess their state or concerns and determine a treatment plan, with the end goal in mind of improving the guest's overall wellbeing through the practice of mental and emotional mentoring
• Ambassador of the company's wellness and sustainability culture, promote its awareness amongst team members by leading by example.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain effective communication with all departments of the resort to ensure a safe, smooth and outstanding service for all guests.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients, corporate office.
• Promote a friendly, dynamic and collaborative work environment that includes open communication, team work, participation, trust, respect, professionalism and fun.
• Have a complete understanding of own role, responsibilities and company expectations.
• Adhere to the company's policies and procedures, employee guidelines and service standards.
• Educate resort employees and guests on TCM philosophy and treatments available at the resort.
• Deliver and participate in meetings as required, facilitate seminars and training to internal and external guests.
• Proactively participate in people and community relations activities and programs available at the property.
• Ensure the consultation room is always clean and net, ready to welcome guests at any time.
• Prepare and review the profiles prior to meeting with the guests for their consultations, ensure the forms are completed with relevant information about the guests' history, progress, contraindications, treatment plan.
• Carry out individual consultations with guests in order to establish a detailed case history, assess their mental and emotional health and craft a suitable treatment plan.
• Connect with guests and develop professional relationships that foster trust, confidence, harmony and loyalty.
• Evaluate and document guests' progress through questioning and examination, adjust the treatment plan if necessary.
• Assist guests improving their relationships, careers and day-to-day lives, help clarify goals, identify obstacles holding back and come up with strategies for overcoming each obstacle.
• Conduct group and individual mentoring sessions for guests
• Remain impartial at all times and ensure the therapes meet guests' expectations.
• Conduct post stay (online) consultations with guests when required
• Maintain and follow the quality and safety standards, infection control policies and procedures.
• Protect and promote the guest's confidentiality, privacy and dignity.
• Use the appropriate techniques for effective assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of the guests' needs, and seek for support when needed, to ensure the service provided to guests is consistent and continuously exceeds their expectations.
• Have a good working knowledge of all Wellness services provided at the resort, including promotional items, visiting consultants and facilities.
• Be aware of current and future services offered by the resort and offer suggestions for improvement, expansion or creation of new services.
• Coordinate with the team in charge of therapy scheduling to ensure adjustments to therapies or schedule are appropriate and relevant
• Partake in the resort educational program through Group activities (workshops, lectures or classes)
• Stay updated with local and international life coaching/mentoring trends through internet, magazines and other applicable media.
• Participate in PR events as required.
• Carry out administrative duties such as completion of monthly reports, training, etc.
• When not booked with guests, be present in the H&W areas or in restaurants to assist operations team with guests relations and care.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree in mental health or psychology, Coaching and Mentoring Skills Certification
• Meditation teacher, emotional resilience, positive psychology, breath work practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, NLP, HeartMaths, Mindfullness, hypnotherapy
• Applicable practitioner license for work in Saudi Arabia
• Applicable practitioner malpractice and liability insurance
• Fluent in English, Arabic is an advantage . Additional language an advantage
• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a health & wellness resort

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support and follow up to ensure Visiting Experts calendar is in place and assist to develop spa packages and programs and to adapt spa menu aligning it with company updates, local market and guests' requirements.

• Maintain documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards.

• A high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene, plus comprehensive knowledge of safety, security and emergency procedures will be maintained by myself and all hosts in line with brand and statutory requirements.

• Ensure that interaction and communications between departments within the property are clear and effectively maintained to support the smooth running of the property.

• Ensure that all activities within my department are carried out ethically, honestly and within the parameters of local law.

Qualifications

To execute the position of IWP, I confirm that I have the required qualifications, technical skills and at least three years' experience in a similar or greater role in luxury spas and health clubs with proven results.

• A degree or certification of the following: Allopathic Doctorate, Ayurveda Doctor/Physician, Siddha, Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine, Tibetan Medicine, Traditional Thai Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, , Physiotherapy, Fitness and Nutrition, Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Anatomy and Physiology and/or similar health related fields or have broad knowledge on anatomy and physiology and massage therapy.

• Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms.
