Responsibilities:
- Provide insights and guidance across all safety and emergency response roles
- Development and execution of knowledge transfer for all railway safety management related disciplines
- Responsible for leading and managing all aspects of emergency preparedness, response, and recovery efforts within the rail system.
- Develop comprehensive emergency response plans, coordinate with relevant agencies, and ensure the safety of passengers, employees, and assets during emergencies and disasters.
- Create and maintain detailed emergency response plans tailored to various scenarios, such as accidents, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and other emergencies specific to the rail system.
- Collaborate with local emergency services, law enforcement, fire departments, and relevant authorities to establish effective communication channels and protocols for emergency situations.
- Organize regular training sessions and emergency drills for rail system staff, ensuring they are well-prepared to respond effectively to various emergencies.
- Evaluate and enhance training programs based on feedback and outcomes.
- Establish and lead an incident command system during emergencies, directing response efforts, resource allocation, and communication to minimize the impact of the incident and ensure a swift recovery.
- Develop a crisis communication plan to inform passengers, employees, and the public during emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Project management skills
- Railway safety and O&M background
- Development and/or implementation of SMS in the railway or similar industries
- Understanding of the safety regulation framework in the KSA and ability to network with the relevant authorities, namely the TGA
- Relevant certifications e.g. in Quality Assurance
- Min. academic degree: B.Sc. Engineering
