The RoleDigital Grid Management (DGM)'s Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) is a rapidly growing area within our organization that enables electric distribution utilities to monitor, manage, control, and optimize the grid. As a Power Systems Engineer in DMS, you will be involved in delivering systems to our customers, engaging with them to design, build, configure, troubleshoot, and test deployments. This role provides broad exposure to the entire ADMS, focusing on advanced applications such as Distribution Power Flow (DPF), Fault Location, Isolation & Service Restoration (FLISR), and Volt/VAR Control & Optimization (VVC/VVO). You will be a primary contact throughout and after project delivery, collaborating with other application engineers, architecture teams, and software development groups. You will report to an ADMS Delivery Lead or Manager.
Your Impact- Provide technical leadership and act as the face of AspenTech DGM for ADMS projects.
- Implement control systems at electric utilities to enhance grid operation efficiency while meeting contract requirements.
- Lead and participate in the design, planning, and execution of ADMS projects.
- Guide engineers during project execution.
- Configure and install advanced distribution management applications such as DPF, FLISR, and VVC/VVO.
- Lead testing events with customers.
- Collaborate with AspenTech DGM development teams to troubleshoot, prioritize, and test product updates.
- Work with utility GIS teams to manage electrical network models.

Based at NEOM Site, Jacobs has an opening for a Senior Manager – Electrical Engineering
Working as part of a single LINE organization to be accountable for the successful delivery of the Electrical Engineering from a Design and Construction strategy and systems perspective of THE LINE region.
THE LINE region contains a variety of projects in a 9,500km2 land area, including the initial Hidden Marina Mirror Line phase 1 modules, the Landscapes of THE LINE, three ‘special projects’ and the NEOM International Airport (NIA).
Requirements Summary
- Experience with Electrical Engineering from a consultant and client perspective, experience with approvals process in KSA an asset.
- Experience with super highrise, complex iconic projects with world class architectural design firms an asset
- Experience with SBC and/or US codes and standards an asset
- Experience in process mapping and process modelling tools.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Competence in negotiating with stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Flexibility to adjust engagement strategies based on changing circumstances or feedback.

- Successful delivery of the Electrical Engineering Strategy, Design and Construction scope for THE LINE in a manner that supports the successful delivery of the project goals in terms of budget, schedule, quality and sustainability. Being part of the team accountable for delivering the multi-disciplinary engineering for THE LINE region.
- Leading a team of supporting staff to provide support to the LINE Design Project Engineering Management teams for the regional assets as well as oversight of what LINE Projects are procuring / managing. Working with THE LINE Design in setting Electrical Engineering strategies.
- Overall accountability for the success delivery of the Electrical Engineering systems in the LINE regional assets (i.e. irrespective of how that work is delivered)
- Develop a comprehensive Electrical Engineering strategy aligned with the LINE delivery strategy, led by the Director – Building Services and coordinating with the Building Services strategy
- Develop implementation plans for Electrical Engineering that consider project-specific requirements, timelines, and budgets. Align plans with the overarching mission and objectives, ensuring a clear roadmap for achieving our goals. Review and adopt the studies already carried out by the LINE Proponent Infrastructure team and the LINE Design Engineering team, develop further ‘non-project projects’ as appropriate.
- Utilize industry knowledge and network to source opportunities for Electrical Engineering. Evaluate and select technologies that align with our goals and can be seamlessly integrated into our projects.
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances with technology providers, research institutions, and industry experts. Foster collaboration to accelerate adoption of innovations where these have value to the process.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence. Provide mentorship, guidance, and direction to ensure the successful execution of the Electrical Engineering strategy.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions to overcome obstacles to ensure successful project execution.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of Electrical Engineering on project timelines, costs, and environmental footprint.
- Regularly monitor and report on progress to leadership.
Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.

Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Electrical Engineering and related fields.
- Proven track record of successfully managing relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- High level of emotional intelligence and diplomacy.
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree Preferred.
