- Represent the project engineering team within the local project team
- Interface with the Project engineering manager (PEM)
- Be the technical interface for the project with the Customer
- Be the technical interface for the project with the sites
- Be the technical interface for the project with the local suppliers, engineering subcontractors
- you will report functionally to the Project Engineering Management Leader and operationally to the Local Project Manager
- Ensure compliance with Power Conversion and Storage business directives and EHS standard
- Ensure that the design is according to the applicable local rules, regulations codes and standards
- Control the planning and progress measurement for the project engineering activities.
- Control the planning of engineering deliverables to the Customer
- Ensure proper release of the engineering documents to the Customer or his representative
- Ensure proper quality control of all local engineering activities incl. local engineering subcontractors if any
- Perform technical risks assessment and corresponding risks reviews.
- Support procurement in the negotiations with local suppliers in particular
- Provide support for technical issues linked to overall time schedule problems and define appropriate activities for a recovery plan in alignment with the project engineering team
- Provide support for technical issues linked to site activities (installation & commissioning)
- Ensure timely response on technical issues internally as well as to the Customer or his Representative.
- Provide input to lessons learnt / return of experience and project close-out

- Fluent English written and spoken; French/Arabian spoken appreciate
- Good knowledge in all engineering disciplines involved in power conversion and storage
- Good knowledge of BOP equipment applicable to common systems of power conversion
- Knowledge of the processes in Engineering and its interfaces, particularly procurement, installation and commissioning processes
- Knowledge of Engineering and Project management tools
- Able to motivate people, to encourage creativity and create team spirit; good coaching skills
- Leadership and assertiveness
- Willingness to take responsibility
- Able to delegate and to control
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Able to communicate at all levels: Customer, Hierarchy, Team members, etc.
- Conflict solving skills

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or extensive experience in Electrical, Electronic, Control, & Automation Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience in electrical systems engineering.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of French or Arabic is a plus.
- Good knowledge of all engineering disciplines involved in power conversion and storage.
- Good knowledge of BOP equipment applicable to power conversion systems.
Desired Characteristics:
- Knowledge of engineering processes and interfaces, especially procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Familiarity with engineering and project management tools.
