Electrical Manager to oversee the installation of a 380 KV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS). He /She shall have extensive experience in high-voltage substation projects, ensuring all activities meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
What will you do?
- Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of the substation Site, during installation and commissioning.
- Technical Oversight:Supervise the installation of electrical equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, and control systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry/ Client standards.
- Quality Assurance:Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure the quality and reliability of installations. Address any issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
- Safety Compliance:Implement and enforce strict Linxon and Client safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment. Ensure all activities comply with relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Coordination:Collaborate with design engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving.
- Documentation:Maintain comprehensive records of installation activities, test results, and project progress. Prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Training and Supervision:Provide guidance and training to installation teams, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their tasks efficiently and safely.
- Commissioning:Oversee the commissioning process, including testing and validation of all systems to ensure they are fully operational and meet performance criteria.
- Master or bachelor’s degree in an electrical engineering from an accredited university.
- Project Management Certification, or a PMP certification is not mandatory but preferred.
- 10 Years experience in EHV 380 KV GIS Substations projects, including Civil Construction.
- Experience With the major Clients in KSA SEC , ARAMCO, and Royal Commission
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, substation components, and industry standards.
- Experience in risk mitigation & opportunity management.
- Proven track record of management of large-scale, multimillion-SAR projects
- C1 or C2 permit holder is a plus
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in electrical installations
- This position requires working on-site at the substation location, with occasional travel to project meetings and stakeholder consultations.
- The role involves exposure to high-voltage equipment and requires adherence to strict safety protocols.

The Role

The Role In this role, the Sr Power Systems Engineer will technically lead and mentor other engineers in delivering complex designs that meet customer specifications. You will provide the technical expertise and engineering leadership needed to support current products and help define the future product development opportunities across power grids to deliver the advanced DERMS functions of DGM's control systems and provide ongoing customer support to ensure reliable performance and world-class customer satisfaction. Working from AspenTech's Medina office, the successful applicant will contribute to project delivery and product management excellence in support of utility customers in the energy management industry.Your Impact- Train, develop, and lead in daily operations and activities of the Power Systems engineering team.
- Design, integrate, test, and commission advanced control systems for electric utilities.
- Evaluate contract specifications and define project requirements.
- Communicate detailed requirements to internal departments as needed.
- Work directly with customers and remote engineering team members to understand requirements and communicate project plans.
- Perform customer training and consult on power system modeling to ensure the effective use and maintenance of a customer's power system applications.
- Assist in creating project and product documentation as needed.
- Perform unit testing and tuning to ensure power system applications will meet customer and industry requirements.
- Support live customer systems using knowledge of power systems and DGM application functionality with clear, logical thought processes.
- Assist in creating training materials and project documentation as needed.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry standards and trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical field. Master's degree with an emphasis in Power Systems preferred.
- 5+ years of power systems, project engineering, or related technical project implementation experience required.
- Strong technical background with the ability to apply knowledge spanning renewable and integration of renewable into the electric grid solutions required.
- Practical understanding of DERs and integration DERs back to grid, including operation, control, and optimization.
- Knowledge of IEEE1547 and other DER standards and protocols
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills; analytical and problem-solving skills; commitment to providing superior customer service;
- Ability to multi-task on several projects in a fast-paced environment are required.
- Ability and flexibility to travel up to 25% to domestic and international customer sites.

The salary range for this role is $99,400.00 - $124,300.00. This range represents what we in good faith believe is the range possible for base compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. This range may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay.
