This position requires a highly experienced Electrical Engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school. The incumbent shall have a minimum of 8 years of experience in design of electrical engineering works, of which 3 years shall have been in a project engineer or supervisory capacity. The experience shall have included involvement with and/or directly responsible for the design of significant projects covering a broad spectrum of electrical projects. Familiarity with U.S., European and Saudi Arabian Standards and Codes is required for this position.
Job SpecificationThe incumbent shall serve as Electrical Engineer under the direct supervision of the Head of Branch. In this capacity, shall work on a wide variety of electrical design and technical review of projects. As Electrical Engineer, the incumbent shall be responsible for the technical review and design of electrical engineering projects from schematic development through to concept and final design. This will include preparation of presentation documentation graphics and database for basic and alternative designs, as required.
- The incumbent shall be thoroughly familiar with latest trends in materials, equipment, systems and methods of construction, installation and operation in the field of electrical engineering.
- Electrical engineering design and technical review responsibilities shall include, but not limited to; substation and transmission, both overhead and underground up to 35 KV prime and standby power generation; lighting, both interior and exterior; building services, fire protection, communications, building automation and security system, cathodic protection, protective relaying and controls, lightning protection and grounding.
