The successful candidate will be responsible for designing Electrical systems within buildings, including power distribution, lighting, ELV, fire alarm, and systems ensuring they meet sustainability, safety, efficiency, and client requirements. You will work on various project stages from concept to detailed design, coordinating closely with architects, structural engineers, and contractors.
In joining Jacobs you will
- Develop electrical design concepts and detailed drawings electrical systems including low voltage (LV), medium voltage (MV), lighting, power, emergency, ELV, and life safety systems.
- Perform engineering calculations such as load estimation, voltage drop, fault current, and cable sizing using software tools like ETAP, Dialux, and Excel.
- Coordinate electrical services design with other disciplines (mechanical, architectural, structural) to ensure seamless integration
- Attend design coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to present designs and resolve issues
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes in electrical building services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Built Environment Engineering from a recognized university
- 3+ years of experience in electrical building services design.
- Support senior engineer and/or senior designer in the on-going determination of building services requirements
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Elite, or similar)
- The ability to produce well-presented reports is also essential.
- Revit experience is preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical/Electro-Mechanical Design Review Engineer to oversee and review IBS site design packages, ensure compliance with project specifications, and coordinate with contractors and customers for design approvals in line with SLA targets.
• Review Final Design Engineering Documents (FDED) and IBS site design drawings/calculations (architectural, civil, electrical, and electromechanical) before submission to the customer’s design team
• Coordinate with design offices and contractors, providing QC comments and ensuring rectifications
• Prepare site-specific detailed scope of works and BOQ for Civil, Electrical, and Electro-Mechanical works for FDED approval
• Address customer comments on design documents and manage resubmissions until final approval is obtained

The candidate will lead the design and coordination of electrical systems for major industrial, logistics, commercial, and infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing electrical designs from concept through construction while ensuring full compliance with local authority regulations and international standards.
- Lead the development of electrical design drawings and documentation for LV, MV, and ELV systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing, fire alarm, structured cabling, and control systems.
- Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, civil, architectural, and other disciplines.
- Ensure all designs meet local authority regulations (SEC, Civil Defense, NCEC, etc.) and international codes (NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.).
- Prepare electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, short circuit studies, and lighting calculations using specialized software (e.g., ETAP, Dialux, Amtech).

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s or relevant certifications are a plus).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design, with at least 5 years in the GCC.
- Professional membership or license (e.g., SCE, IEEE, LEED AP) is preferred.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Dialux/Relux, and Excel-based tools.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi codes, SEC regulations, and international standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Strong organizational and leadership capabilities with attention to detail.
- Experience with large-scale logistics, industrial, data centers, or healthcare projects.
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles and smart building technologies.
- Experience handling authority approvals and utility coordination in KSA.
