The school, owned by one of the largest natural gas-producing companies globally, primarily caters to the children of its employees. It is located approximately 40 km north of Doha, in Al Khor, and hosts over 4,000 students across British and CBSE curricula.

They are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring Arabic Teacher experienced in working with primary-aged students.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Arabic or a related subject + PGCE/QTS
• Ideally, a minimum of 2 years relevant experience (ECTs considered)
• Fluent in both Arabic and English
• Experience with English National Curriculum or British International School
• High cultural awareness and sensitivity

Job Summary:
**The ESL Instructor** will support the English Language Training mission in the following areas:

- Conduct English language instruction for Saudi personnel and other personnel.- A Bachelor Degree in the English language is preferred, other Bachelor degrees will be considered, if the below are completed.
- (An exception to the Bachelors Degree in English Language may be accepted for personnel who possess degrees in other disciplines and have a Teach English Language (**TESOL**), Teach English First Language (**TEFL**), or a Teach English Second Language (**TESL**) Certification.
- Responsible for completing and maintaining all applicable forms, records, and reports using the U.S. Defense Language Institute's (DLI) program as reference.
- Use and maintain all provided English laboratory equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance of associated work areas to include English laboratory, classrooms, or any other areas used in the instructional process.
- Responsible for ordering, through the appropriate functional manager, all instructional materials and student materials. Ensure adequate amounts of needed supplies are on hand to conduct instruction in order to avoid delays in training.
- The Lead Instructor shall assist in organizing the efforts of the department, helping other instructors when needed, follow-up, and ensure accomplishment on all related issues for the English Department, and work duties as assigned by the RSLFAC.

Must have at least two (2) years of experience teaching English, as a foreign or second language

Must have an understanding of the U.S. Defense Language Institute (DLI), English programs.

US Citizen required

Must have a Valid US Passport

Must be able to pass the Saudi Visa (Igama) Medical for deployment.

Preferred Qualifications:

JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.

The post holder will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of English language training of students for BAES SDT at TINS which includes classroom delivery, placement and progress testing, marking, materials selection, preparation and development, syllabus development, implementation of courses and record keeping. The post holder will co-ordinate with SELT concerning all aspects of course administration and implementation.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Selecting and developing appropriate course material to match students’ abilities and requirements,

· Independently delivering training courses and carrying out the associated administration.

· Providing continuous assessment of students’ learning progress.

· Documenting work as necessary – attendance, progress reports, lesson plans, schemes of work, assessment plans.

· Preparing students for appropriate external English Language qualifications i.e. IELTS, APTIS.

· Developing learning materials to improve the required skills, and knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.

· Ensuring that all reports are completed and submitted to the SELT in a timely manner.

· The post holder will be expected to operate to a standard of absolute integrity and professionalism.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Essential

· Degree qualified (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject (preferably English or modern languages).

· For SN instructors, either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Education in English Language.

· Hold CELTA or equivalent, DELTA preferred.

· Have teaching experience in a company or language school, Middle East experience preferred.

· Proven capability in delivering English language training.

· A good team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills.

· Fluent in English (minimum IELTS 6.5 for a Saudi post holder, achieved within the last 2 years),

· Experience of delivering IELTS preparation courses / as an IELTS Examiner.

· Demonstrate high levels of cultural sensitivity.

Desirable

· Knowledge and experience of different EL methodologies and associated techniques.

· Experience in delivering Technical English training in a technical training institution.

· Knowledge and experience of developing materials.

· Experience and knowledge of CALL Lab activities and software.

· Experience of using interactive media for teaching.

· Experience of delivering training to a military customer, or a customer in a regulated environment.
