Job Title:Consultant Pediatric Infectious Diseases
SHORT DESCRIPTION JOB SUMMARY
Lead the Pediatric Infectious Disease department as a consultant, overseeing the diagnosis and treatment of complex infectious conditions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care, guiding research initiatives, and ensuring the highest standards of care for infectious diseases at our esteemed hospital.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides high-quality care to pediatric patients in this area of medicine.
- Provide consultative service as requested.
- Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
- Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise and Participates in research activities.
- Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
- Performs special procedures as privileged.
- Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
- Completion of required period of training in specialty and/or Subspecialty
- Saudi Arab or American /European Board Certification or equivalent.
- Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required
- A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
- Dataflow is a must.
Professional Experience
- Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in specialty.
- A registered member of the Saudi Board Council
- Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.

Job Requirements
- A degree in computer science, data science or any other relevant field. A master's is a plus
- 4 years of experience in relevant fields
- Data Engineering & Querying: Strong proficiency in SQL
- Visualization & Reporting: Advanced skills in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent) and ability to design performance-optimized dashboards.
- Data Wrangling: Ability to handle raw, messy data—cleaning, normalizing, feature engineering, and managing large datasets with performance considerations.
- Cloud & Analytics Tools: Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse) and distributed data systems (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus as well as hands-on experience on Dataiku is a plus.

Operational Roles & Responsibilities- Review the Positive Laboratory Culture Reports and online Disease Reports initiated by physicians from all departments daily
- Enter newly identified communicable disease cases into the MOH Health electronic surveillance network HESN
- assist with the implementation of disease prevention surveillance and control strategies to control preventable diseases at the Companys facilities following MOH Public health guidelines
- Identify and report changing health requirements for international travel and assist with drafting instructions about necessary and recommended immunizations
- Monitor global epidemic trends and guidelines changes by reviewing WHO CDC Weqayah Weekly Epidemiological Records
- Coordinate logistics for company facilities inspection to ensure compliance with public health regulations in case of communicable disease outbreaks
- Prepare and complete MOH mandatory reports which includes but is not limited to Notifiable Disease and Immunization Reports in a timely manner
A Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or related health sciences
Professional Certifications Required.
