Job Purpose
The Director of IT is the guardian of Red Palace’s digital infrastructure, security, and guest-facing technology. You lead with foresight, ensuring every system from front-of-house operations to back-end servers runs smoothly, securely, and with zero compromise on luxury. You are a strategist, a troubleshooter, and a service partner to every department. Your goal is simple: create a seamless, intuitive tech environment that enables excellence and elevates the guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Define and deliver the IT strategy for Red Palace, aligned with operational and guest service priorities.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives that enhance automation, performance, and guest personalization.
- Anticipate tech risks and opportunities; future-proof systems through proactive upgrades and innovations.
- Act as the primary IT advisor to the GM and Executive Committee.
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and performance of all hotel systems, including PMS, POS, ERP, and CRM.
- Ensure uninterrupted network availability, data security, and system redundancy across all departments.
- Manage hotel servers, switches, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Partner with vendors to ensure service reliability and contractual compliance.
Guest-Facing Technology
- Ensure that in-room technology (Wi-Fi, IPTV, smart controls) delivers a premium, hassle-free experience.
- Support mobile check-in/out, digital concierge services, and guest feedback platforms.
- Collaborate with front office and marketing to integrate tech that enhances personalization and loyalty.
Security & Compliance
- Enforce cybersecurity policies, data protection standards (GDPR, local law), and access controls.
- Lead annual audits, vulnerability assessments, and disaster recovery testing.
- Train staff on safe tech usage and data privacy awareness.
- Lead and develop the IT team, setting high standards for service, troubleshooting, and responsiveness.
- Manage relationships with hardware, software, and telecom vendors.
- Maintain IT documentation, licenses, contracts, and audit trails.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 8 to 12 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within luxury hospitality.
- Proven expertise in PMS, POS, networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure management.
- Strong written and verbal communication in Arabic and English.
