General Description
The Director of Finance works under the direct of the Chief Financial Officer and implements the decisions and strategic direction set by the Board of Directors. This position is responsible for leading the financial management and accounting services that are a critical to realizing the mission and vision of the company. The Director of Finance will manage the organizations’ financial assets, oversee the projects (hospitals) and its financial performance, accounting, budgeting, cash management, credit, and any taxes. The DOF will also design and coordinate financial analysis, planning and reporting.
**Responsibilities**:
Finance
- Through the Accounting staff, the Director of Finance oversees the financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, annual audit and payroll.
- Ensures timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Directs the preparation of annual financial reports and audits.
- Determines the proper accounting presentation of all necessary schedules.
- Develops appropriate schedules for timely completion of internal audits and tax returns. Audits include the general financial audits as well as compliance with government regulations.
- Participates in the development of system wide internal control and accounting policies and procedures. Accountable for implementation of policies procedures and ensures compliance.
- Leads the financial implementation of Oracle ERP financial systems
- Engages in ongoing improvements, increases efficiency and accuracy in all aspects of the accounting process.
- Establishes and monitors monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures and deadlines.
- Ensures financial statements are adjusted to properly reflect financials within the established deadlines.
- Works direct with Chief Financial Officer to plan and lead the Finance and Audit committee meetings.

- Strong experience working with Financial Accounting packages and financial report writing software
- Experience in a financial leadership position
- Experience managing an accounting team
- Enthusiasm working with people
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, and ability to prioritize multiple demands and deadlines.
