Division: Strategy and Business Development
Reports To: Chief Technical Officer
Liaise/Cooperate With: Executive Leadership Team, all N-1(s).
POSITION SUMMARY
The position holds three key responsibilities:
- One is to lead and support the overall strategy for the organization as the organization transforms into a mature operational role.
- Lead all business development opportunities.
- In addition, this role hold the role for designing and implementing strategic planning processes, including development and reporting leaderships scorecards & key performance indicators
NATURE & SCOPE
The job holder will play a crucial role in defining the strategy of the organization, implementing key metrics to measure and monitor and lead business development to execute strategic goals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
Working with the leadership team to identify the company's short- and long-term goals:
- Analyzing trends in the market and industry and researching competitors
- Recommending ways the company can improve its performance
- Setting Strategic goals and ensuring they are measurable
- Advising executives on strategic changes and how to implement changes
- Fully responsible for developing & updating the long-term strategy Financial Model
Establishing methods of defining collecting and tracking data to evaluate performance toward the goals:
- Development and periodic reporting of Organization and N-1 Scorecard with relevant and measurable KPIs
Lead all business development opportunities aligned to improve the overall strategic goals of the organization:
- Identify relevant technology & commercial partnerships that could bring
- value for (with customers, competitors, industrial companies, …)
- Internal and external scanning of potential project and / or opportunities
- that could create value
- Financial Evaluation / Business cases / Presentations and recommendations to all levels within the organization
SKILLS / TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AREAS:
- Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Advanced communication and presentation skills
- Advanced MS Office Suite skills, especially powerpoint and excel
- Strong Financial Modelling
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or relevant field.
- Minimum 10+ years and above work experience.
- 5 to 7 years of work experience in managerial level.
- Work experience in multi-cultural work environment is essential.
- Excellent command in English communications – verbal and written.

What your day will look like:- Develop strategies, plans and programs to assist sales to grow Genetec’s revenues in the assigned Market.
- Prospect and pursue opportunities on the assigned territory and market. In this respect you will be expected to engage directly with end users, systems integrators, A&E consultants and governmental authorities which may be involved in the associated planning, purchasing and implementation functions.
- Perform a segmentation of market and identify the best opportunities for Genetec today and for the future.
- Assist and guide sales in establishing contacts and positioning Genetec in their respective territories on specific accounts in the assigned market(s). Cooperate with the Regional Sales Managers (RSM) to develop account strategies, coverage and follow-up.
- Identify sales channels and develop partnerships that will help Genetec be successful on the market.
- Ensure that the company’s value proposition in this sector remains relevant and differentiated, and is consistent with the company’s aspirations to be the leader in this region.
- With the assistance of the Regional Sales Managers, develop revenue objectives for the assigned market.
- Work with the Marketing Communications group to set priorities for the market as it pertains to promotion plans, specialized collateral, marketing campaigns and identification and planning of key industry events.
- Work with the product marketing group to ensure that requirements for the targeted segments are understood, considered and part of the new product planning process.
- Provide information on competitors on the territory and contribute in establishing competing tactics and strategies.
- Report on the trends in the industry and offer an assessment of how we should best respond/position.
- Keep sales abreast of account activity, trends and opportunities on the market.
- Engage with end users and others within the ecosystem to uncover product needs and potential points of differentiation. Shepherd those requirements internally by developing “buy-in” from within the organization.
- Develop a roadmap for how we expect to “win” the market and the territory, and generate meaningful and timely progress reports.

Requirements- 8 years Security industry sales experience
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience in Signature brands, retail, banking or similar experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication (presentation, oral, written) skills.
- Ability to work in a complex sales environment at all levels
- Candidates with demonstrable business acumen and technical disposition will be preferred.
- Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers, integrators, consultants.
- Prepared to travel on the Eastern region, 50-60%+ travel is expected in this role.
- Excellent at managing time, priorities and expenses.
- Able to work independently.
- Team player.
- Good written & verbal communications in English, Arabic is an asset
- Must have strong time management skills and be a multitasker
- CP/IT technology understanding and networking expertise will be considered an asset.
