The Director of Design Coordination will play a crucial role within the City Design Integration team within THE LINE Proponent at NEOM The LINE, working directly under the Executive Director of City Design Integration. This position is all about bringing together the various design packages to ensure they work as a homogenous city whilst aligning with the overall vision for NEOM The LINE. Your Impact

The Senior Manager - City Design Coordination will play a critical role within NEOM The LINE’s City Design Integration team, supporting the overall integration of city design activities. Reporting to the Director - Design Coordination, this role focuses on managing design workflows, ensuring collaboration across various disciplines, and helping to deliver a cohesive, high-quality urban environment. You’ll work hands-on with the Architectural and Engineering design teams, ensuring that NEOM’s ambitious vision is executed effectively and to the highest standards.

What You'll Do:

  1. Assist the Director - Design Coordination in managing and overseeing the integration of all design efforts across NEOM The LINE, including collaboration with Urban Designers, Neighborhood Architects and engineers, Infrastructure Engineers, and consultants for critical city assets like basements and technical floors.
  2. Act as a key point of contact for design teams, facilitating effective communication and coordination to ensure all design components align with NEOM’s overall vision and quality objectives.
  3. Coordinate the daily activities of various design teams, ensuring that timelines are met, design conflicts are resolved, and the integration process runs smoothly.
  4. Manage design deliverables, tracking progress, ensuring deadlines are adhered to, and providing feedback to ensure high standards of design and functionality are maintained.
  5. Support the Director in problem-solving complex design integration challenges, ensuring all city design elements work together both functionally and aesthetically.
  6. Work closely with internal teams and external consultants to gather design information, facilitate cross-team collaboration, and drive alignment between design and technical requirements.
  7. Ensure that design processes and outputs are aligned with NEOM’s sustainability, innovation, and quality goals.
  8. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members within City Design Coordination, contributing to a culture of collaboration and excellence.

The Director of Design Coordination will play a crucial role within the City Design Integration team within THE LINE Proponent at NEOM The LINE, working directly under the Executive Director of City Design Integration. This position is all about bringing together the various design packages to ensure they work as a homogenous city whilst aligning with the overall vision for NEOM The LINE. You’ll be coordinating efforts between different client and consultant teams and ensuring that every piece of the puzzle fits together perfectly.

What You'll Do:

  • Work closely with the Executive Director of City Design Integration to ensure that all design elements across the project are seamlessly integrated.
  • Act as the central hub for communication between different design teams, including Urban Realm Designers, Neighbourhood Architects and Engineers, Infrastructure Designers, and more.
  • Lead efforts to resolve any design conflicts or challenges that arise, ensuring that all design elements contribute to a cohesive and functional cityscape.
  • Coordinate with the the wider client team to align design processes, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring that all parts of the project stay on track.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyse design information, making sure that all elements work together aesthetically and functionally.
  • Provide input and feedback on design proposals, ensuring they meet the project’s goals for innovation, sustainability, and quality.
  • Support the Executive Director in developing strategies for integrating new design ideas and technologies into the project.
  • Fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

  • 25+ years of experience in architecture, urban planning, building engineering, or a related field, with extensive experience in large-scale projects.
