Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Define and implement data governance frameworks and processes for data management such as data quality, data security and data lineage;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design data governance processes accordingly;
- Define the main subject areas and data domains in the enterprise;
- Introduce stakeholder driven processes with roles and responsibilities;
- Identify and document data assets and their associated metadata, data lineage and data quality;
- Develop, implement and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data is accurate, accessible and compliant with regulations;
- Identify and document data risks, sensitivity levels and classifications;
- Educate and train stakeholders on data governance to ensure compliance with related policies and procedures;
- Create and maintain data governance documentation including data dictionaries, data models and data lineage diagrams;
- Collaborate with other teams and departments such as compliance, IT and legal to ensure abidance to relevant regulations and laws;
- Monitor industry developments and regulations to ensure up to date and effective data governance processes.
