Must have at least three years of computer programming including the ability to program in COBOL, RPG, Report Program Generator, and Control languages. Must have at least two years of working knowledge of the IBM AS Four Hundred Computer system.
Primary responsibility is the AS400 and related systems operations and administration functions. Also should have some general knowledge of Networking. Knowledge of AS400 DB2 and I series Access or other emulation software for the AS400.
Determines and develops methods to be used to convert flow chart data, data processing systems instructions, narrative, and verbal instructions into programming language by using flow charts, block diagrams, and flow diagrams to outline program routines or computer operations as required.
Writes program instructions, test, review, and corrects programs as required. Programs include COBOL, RPG, and Control Language.
Performs systems analysis functions as required on existing and new procedures. Operate computer equipment. Uses approved methods and procedures in the performance of the job.
Prepares and updates documentation as required for system changes, user manual, project proposal, program logic flow charts, file-storage descriptions, input-output formats, and other operating procedures.
Explain and/or demonstrate job duties and responsibilities and assist in training by providing on-the-job training for Saudi technicians and/or other personnel to include maintaining appropriate records on personnel such as Job Performance Guides.
Performs database queries to generate reports as required, using Query 400.
Establishes and administers system security procedures to secure access to the system on the AS400 Advanced Server. This includes periodic system-database backups, restores, and management of user names and passwords.
Maintains PC to AS400 router communications using Client Access for the AS400 System.
Shall perform other duties as qualified and assigned by his functional supervisor as needed.
Must have knowledge or ability to learn quickly, the United States Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures automated supply or equivalent civilian or military automated supply management system. We will consider on-the-job training in learning this supply system, assuming the work site has other Supply Specialist located in the unit who can assist with this OJT.
Must be able to analyze and develop computer programs, formats, structures and files in accordance with programming principles and techniques from flow charts, written narrative, or verbal instruction.
Must be able to prepare flow charts, diagrams, operating procedures, and methods.
Must be experienced with Windows 9X operating system and office applications, including installation and troubleshooting.
Must be able to build structure query reports using Query 400 query system for the AS400.
Must have demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written. Must be fluent in the English language.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand Arabic is desirable.

The purpose of this job is to perform the role of Senior In-Service Data Analysis (ISDA) Specialist for the Typhoon weapon system based in the Typhoon Support Centre (TSC) at Taif on behalf of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF).
To provide trending analysis of Typhoon metrics, identification of aircraft fault patterns and system failures by way of clear reports, with a view to recommending in-service maintenance / operational improvements to assist with continuing airworthiness and extend the in-service life of the Typhoon weapon system in KSA.
Interface directly with the RSAF, helping their understanding of Typhoon in-service data metrics. You will deputise as Team Leader for ISDA when the ISDA Team Leader is absent. Also improve and expand existing key skills of Saudi Nationals to develop expertise in the Typhoon ISDA role.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Analysis of in-service data to determine Typhoon Fleet reliability and maintainability trends.
- Root Cause Analysis of Aircraft System reliability and maintainability issues to produce improvement recommendations, where appropriate.
- Analysis of the effectiveness of the maintenance program in order to support optimisation recommendations.
- Provision of detailed reports in support of Configuration Management.
- Act as a point of contact within the ISDA function to interface with the RSAF at all levels and assist with their understanding of in-service data metrics.

- Use Oracle SQL Developer and MS Office software to extract and manipulate data from multiple sources to build reports based on this data and/or carry out analysis of this data.

- Provision of useable information from ESS generated maintenance and structural health data as required
- Hold regular planning and prioritisation meetings with the ISDA Team Leader.
- Provide structured on-the-job mentoring for RSAF and/or BAES Saudi National ISDA Staff.
- Support the implementation of a Data Governance framework for managing data through-life in accordance with BAE Systems and Customer data management policies.
- Identification of ESS Data Quality issues helping drive data quality improvements.
- Undertaking any additional, reasonable, tasks as may from time to time be requested by TSC and RSAF management.

- Qualified to HND/HNC, or equivalent, in an Aeronautical I Computing Systems engineering discipline, or extensive relevant experience.
