We are seeking an experienced and strategic Data Management Director to lead our enterprise-wide Data Management Office (DMO). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, data quality, and master data management, with at least 10 years of progressive experience in data leadership roles. This role will be responsible for developing and executing the organization’s data strategy, ensuring data is treated as a strategic asset, and aligning data practices with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Data Management Office and oversee enterprise data governance, data quality, metadata management, and master data initiatives.
  • Define and implement the organization’s data management strategy, policies, and standards in alignment with business objectives.
  • Establish and chair the Data Governance Council and engage business stakeholders across departments.
  • Ensure data integrity, availability, privacy, and security across all systems.
  • Drive the adoption of a “data as an asset” culture throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with IT, compliance, security, and business leaders to ensure integrated and compliant data practices.
  • Lead data stewardship programs and assign data ownership roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor regulatory trends and ensure organizational compliance with data-related laws and standards (e.g., GDPR, local data privacy laws).
  • Evaluate and implement enterprise data tools and platforms (e.g., MDM, data catalogs, metadata tools).
  • Provide mentorship and direction to the data governance team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in data management, data governance, or enterprise information management.
  • At least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Deep knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK framework and data governance best practices.
  • Strong experience with data governance technologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
  • Proven experience leading enterprise data initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, privacy regulations, and information lifecycle management.
