  • The data integration manager is not directly involved in the technical implementation of a software project, which is led by the R&D team.
  • Travel to customer sites within GrEAT region with a focus on the Middle East region to conduct project kick-off, planning, technical requirement gathering, project closure meetings, post project support, as necessary.
  • Closely work and partner with external customers, EMEA, Global Strategic Marketing, Global Business Development, and Global R&D on feasibility and technical implementation of data integration projects
  • Provide management oversight for each project and communicate the project schedule to internal stakeholders and customer project teams. Track and report project milestones.
  • Act as point of contact on EMR integration in GrEAT for internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and provide strategic planning and commercial input to the development of the data integration solutions, understanding the key market drivers, priorities, and growth opportunities.
  • Help to envision future digital health solutions needs among changing business processes and models.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of cloud-based APIs, JSON and HL7 data formats, OAuth2.0 authentication format as well as any other healthcare and general IT security standards.

Education

  • University degree in computer science or related IT field of study; MBA preferred

  • Previous experience and track record in negotiating & aligning technical requirements for cloud-based data integration projects
  • Experience in data sharing and EMR integration of cloud-based health data e.g. via API using JSON and HL7 data formats as well as OAuth 2.0 authentication
  • At least 7 to 10 years of previous relevant experience, preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proficiency in one programming language and knowledge of databases
  • Proficiency in software development practices such as software project management, requirements management and change management
  • Experience in working in matrix organizations

We are seeking a highly skilled CIM (Common Information Model) Data Modelling & Data Integration Expert with deep experience in the Electric Utility industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in IEC CIM standards, data architecture, and system integration, along with proven knowledge of Asset Management processes and practices. You will play a key role in enabling interoperability between enterprise systems (GIS, APM, EAM, ADMS, SCADA, etc.) by defining and managing data models and integration frameworks, aligned with the utility s asset management and digital transformation strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain CIM-based data models for transmission, distribution, and generation asset domains using standards such as IEC 61970, IEC 61968, and IEC 62325.
Lead data integration initiatives between systems such as GIS, EAM (Maximo/SAP), APM platforms, ADMS, SCADA, and data lakes using CIM-based or other semantic data models.
Design and implement semantic mappings and canonical models to ensure consistent and accurate data exchange between systems.
Collaborate with asset management teams to understand current and future asset lifecycle management requirements, and ensure data models support use cases such as condition-based maintenance, AHI, risk-based planning, and outage analysis.
Define and maintain data dictionaries, mapping specifications, and data lineage documentation for enterprise asset data.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
5+ years of experience in the Electric Utility sector, with at least 3 years working with CIM standards and data modeling.
Proven experience in Asset Management processes and systems, such as IBM Maximo, SAP EAM, or similar.
Hands-on experience integrating systems like GIS (ESRI, Smallworld), APM (IBM, GE, ABB), ADMS, SCADA, and/or data warehouses.

Job Description

The Data Architecture Manager is responsible for designing and governing the enterprise data architecture strategy at Emkan. This role ensures data is structured, integrated, secure, and optimized to support analytics, reporting, regulatory compliance, and business innovation. The manager plays a key role in aligning data strategy with business goals, driving data quality, and supporting the implementation of data governance and data platforms.

3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Managerial Accountabilities (Common according to the managerial level)

Functional Accountabilities (Job Specific)

•Develop the annual business plans for the section ensuring alignment to the function’s strategic plan.

•Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the strategy in line with EMKAN’s vision, mission and Business Focus Areas.

•Report on the progress of activities against the annual business plans, opportunities, challenges and issues faced, mitigations taken, etc. as required, to facilitate informed decision-making."

Leadership

  • Build and lead a motivated, engaged and competent manpower throughout the division, by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the HR department challenges and goals.
  • Serve as a role model for the section to ensure employees awareness and commitment to EMKAN’s vision, mission, values, EMKAN fundamentals and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated manpower, and continuously improve performance.
  • Manage section staff and teams by overseeing their performance management, recruitment, training and development to ensure high levels of engagement and competence and motivated work environment"

Stakeholder Management

  • Build high levels of trust and understanding with internal and external stakeholders to promote full compliance with industry regulations and promote broader understanding of EMKAN interests and practices."

People Management

  • Manage employee performance and development by assigning individual performance targets and development objectives at least on an annual basis.
  • Direct and supervise the activities and work of subordinates by providing formal and informal feedback regularly and on a timely basis, to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual targets."

Management Reporting

  • Maintain the confidentiality of information that they have access to or came across during their employment at EMKAN."

Functional Accountabilities (Job Specific)

Data Architecture Design & Strategy

  • Define and maintain enterprise data architecture blueprints aligned with Emkan’s business, regulatory, and IT strategies.
  • Develop models for data domains (customer, finance, credit, etc.), including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Ensure consistency, standardization, and reusability of data structures across platforms and business units.

Data Platform Management

  • Oversee the architecture of data warehouses, data lakes, and real-time data pipelines (on-premises and cloud-based).
  • Evaluate and recommend modern data technologies
  • Guide the integration of internal and external data sources across APIs, databases, and file-based interfaces.

Governance & Compliance

  • Define data standards, taxonomies, naming conventions, and metadata practices in alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., SAMA, NCA, ISO).
  • Collaborate with data governance teams to implement data lineage, classification, access controls, and retention policies.
  • Ensure architecture supports data privacy, encryption, masking, and auditability requirements.
  • Provide architectural guidance for data-related initiatives including digital transformation, reporting, AI/ML, and CRM projects.
  • Collaborate with application architects, developers, business analysts, and data scientists to ensure consistent data design and usage.
  • Participate in the review and approval of data-related solution designs and procurement decisions.

Leadership & Development

  • Lead a small team of data architects, modelers, and analysts, setting goals and performance metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data architecture maturity, tools, and methodologies.
  • Conduct training and awareness sessions on data architecture principles across IT and business units.

4. Qualifications and experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field (master’s is a plus).
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), TOGAF, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Azure, AWS, or GCP data architecture certifications are desirable.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of Management experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Balanced Scorecard related skills,
  • Knowledge in project management Cycle.
  • • Strong Problem-solving ability.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation, preferably with AWS
- 3+ years of database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience
- 3+ Experience delivering cloud projects or cloud based solutions
- Able to communicate effectively in English, within technical and business settings.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
- Proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
- Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python)
- Expertise in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
