Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to join our expanding Data Centers (DC) Cloud regions. Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder.
As an Engineering Operations Engineer, you will operate and maintain AWS DCs' world-class mechanical and electrical infrastructure following a process-oriented approach. In addition, you will oversee facility operations and ensure the implementation of safety procedures.
If you like to apply your electrical and mechanical skills to solve problems while striving for operational excellence, we would like to meet you. Your work will help maintain availability for customers and ensure the upkeep and operation of the technical infrastructure in the DC.
Key job responsibilities
SAFETY:
- Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. As a facility owner team, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.
ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE:
- You will be supporting electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS's), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers.
- Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical, mechanical, emergency generator, HVAC and fire/life safety equipment within the data center
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities
A day in the life
- Work rotational shifts of 4 days of 12 hours shifts (2 days followed by 2 nights), and 4 days off (including night, weekends and holidays) / Respond to on-call rotation reaction to off-duty emergency calls
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
- Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance
- Perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Occasionally Move objects/material (weight limits in accordance with regulations)
- Work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Work in noisy environments
- Work at heights and from ladders

We are seeking a highly experienced
AI Architect at Manager level
to lead the design, development, and delivery of cutting-edge AI solutions for our clients. The role combines deep technical expertise in artificial intelligence with the ability to shape strategic engagements, advise senior stakeholders, and lead multidisciplinary teams. This is a client-facing leadership position where you will architect enterprise-grade AI solutions that drive measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Advisory

  • Act as a trusted advisor on emerging AI trends (generative AI, agentic AI, decision intelligence, industrial AI, digital twins, etc.) and their enterprise applications.

Architecture & Solution Design

  • Define enterprise-scale AI architectures, including LLM-based solutions, MLOps, agent orchestration, data pipelines, and integration with existing enterprise platforms (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow).
  • Establish best practices in trust, risk, governance, and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PDPL, NDMO).
  • Provide architectural leadership across AI infrastructure (cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, Azure), model deployment frameworks, and edge/on-device AI where relevant.

Delivery & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex AI programs, from PoC through scaling into production.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, and consulting teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and high-performing.
  • Drive the industrialization of AI assets into reusable accelerators and IP for the firm.

Leadership & Practice Building

  • Mentor and develop AI architects, engineers, and consultants within the firm.
  • Contribute to the growth of the AI consulting practice through go-to-market offerings, client proposals, and thought leadership.
  • Represent the firm at industry forums, conferences, and client workshops as a thought leader in AI architecture.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8-10 years of professional experience with at least 4+ years in AI/ML architecture roles.
  • Proven experience in consulting or advisory, ideally within Big 4, top-tier consulting, or a global systems integrator.
  • Strong technical foundation in:

  • Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI, and agent-based systems

  • MLOps, data engineering, cloud-native AI solutions (GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • Enterprise application ecosystems (ERP, CRM, HRM platforms)
  • AI security, governance, and compliance frameworks

  • Track record of leading large-scale AI programs and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong business acumen with ability to translate complex AI concepts into executive-level narratives and measurable value.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI or related field preferred.
  • Willingness to travel across GCC region (50-75% of time)

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Arabic language is a plus.
  • Professional Certifications in the field is a plus.
  • Publications or articles on Artificial Intelligence topics is a plus.
