Overview

We are seeking a Crisis Communication Coordinator to join the Media Monitoring & Coordination Division of Media & Executive Comms Department. Media & Exec Comms Dept. is the trusted front-line strategic communications Dept. for corporate-level media helping to position the company as the world's leading integrated energy and chemicals producer.The Crisis Communication Coordinator’s primary role is to support Media & Executive Comms Department in executing and monitoring communication strategies, managing the crisis communications manual and procedures, and to promptly assemble into the Emergency Message Board System in the event of a crisis incident.

Duties and Responsibilities

Candidate will be required to perform the following :

Update the Crisis Communications Manual on a monthly basis, gain approval, and prepare copies for management on a quarterly basis.

Assist business lines with their Crisis Communications manuals & training requirements.

Ensure that the Communications Response Center is running and updated with current technology and equipment.

Conduct weekly video conference testing in collaboration with other functions.

Respond to incidents or issues that have the potential to damage the company’s reputation.

Prepare communications as needed during an incident or threat to the Company’s brand.

Support Corporate Communication strategic initiatives by developing, maintaining and testing plan.

Prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives within a busy media team.

Ensure communication strategies and plans are fully aligned and integrated with the overall Corporate Strategy.

Leverage available enterprise data and research (e.g. corporate reputation tracking data and stakeholder insights) to inform future communication strategies, content creation and engagement.

Development of KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of crisis communications strategies.

Provide functional support and advice on crisis media issues senior leaders in the organization.

Where appropriate, attend relevant events, providing support required and ensuring accountability reporting on outcomes of attendance and participation at such events.

Support the company’s crisis communications activities, crisis preparedness, and media handling during crisis incidents.

Deliver consistent results to an exceptional and consistent standard.

Minimum Requirements

A successful candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized and approved program in the fields of Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Crisis Management, or related field

Candidate should have fifteen (15) years of experience in in Public Relations and Media Relations, gained from either agency and / or in-house corporate setting, ideally in energy, oil and gas sector, and at least three years in crisis communication.

Candidate should have excellent leadership experience in crisis communication

Candidate must be a native English speaker, with excellent English writing and presentation skills

Candidate must have experience in developing crisis communication strategies

Candidate should have experience developing online content

Candidate should have experience using an enterprise content management system and managing content for a heavy traffic website (Enterprise level CMS like Adobe AEM, Sitecore, Optimizely)

Candidate should have a strong background in media relations and serving as spokesperson

Candidate should have experience in emergency response / crisis management development

Candidate should be able to demonstrate understanding of national and international issues and how they can affect the industry

  • Ongoing development of our Media relations strategy in line with our global communications strategy and associated tactical outreach planning alongside other Global Communications CoEs, regional alignment, other stakeholders, agencies and day to day input into strategic direction and planning.
  • Provide specialist strategic communications counsel and relevant external positioning of the company and of the company's senior executive leadership, including CEO, through presentations face to face and written briefings to leverage opportunities to drive business growth and reputation.

**Overview**:
We are seeking a Writer/Editor to join the Media Relations Content Unit (MRCU) in the Media Relations Division of the Media & Executive Communications Department. The MRCU is responsible for driving positive coverage on Aramco’s activities through strong content development in the form of “earned” content; the coverage generated by media releases, media advisory, and statements; and the coverage arising from op-eds, articles, or by-lined features.

  • Manage legal department tasks including SAGIA, CR, Wasel, and Chamber of Commerce renewals.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience as PRO or in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Public Relations or related field preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic, with effective communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of local laws, standards, and approval processes.
  • Ability to collaborate across regional offices and cultural sensitivities.
  • Proven experience leading PRO services in a multinational organization.
  • Based in Riyadh, with a scope covering KSA.

We are currently seeking a Public Relations Officer for our Riyadh office, KSA.

Mission:

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for managing all Government Affair matters related to employees and the company.
