Job Purpose:
- A skilled Tax Accountant to assist in tax reporting and compliance obligations in accordance with Saudi tax laws, including, but not limited to VAT and RETT.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and filing VAT returns in compliance with Saudi tax regulations.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with ZATCA guidelines and keep up to date with changes in tax laws.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for audits and inspections.
- Assist the Assistant Tax Manager in liaising with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and assessments.
- Work on the preparation of monthly reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing the audit requirements whenever they are raised by ZATCA.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
- Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.
Safety, Quality & Environment
- Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree qualified in accounting.
- Master’s degree in accounting & finance, and Tax and regulatory is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide comprehensive VAT including and not limited to administering and registration process.
- Handle all VAT matters of the company, ensure compliance to regulations, prepare all papers on a regular basis and handle all information data requests.
- To participate as finance representative to integrate any upcoming regulation with SAP. Moreover, coordinate with SAP IT team to solve any related issues.
- Prepare the monthly reconciliation VAT Report, ensure timely payment, maintain VAT Balances on General Ledger and analyze cross SAP transactions.
- Advise on all VAT issues related to various transactions to all levels in the company.
- Prepare VAT planning and assess the impact to UGHI from a finance point of view with obligations according to Saudi Tax regulation.
- Control technical VAT issues to ensure the reporting is accurate and in line with accounting standards.
- Complete VAT returns and provide day-to-day advice, support and ensure that the coding structure and posting correctly accounts for VAT and is processed and reviewed correctly.
- Manage and coordinate VAT Audits.
- Provide support, exchange knowledge with UGHI team, maintain productive communication and working relationships across UGHI, and update senior team members on VAT progress.
- Answer, advise and reply to any questions from any of UGHI vendors, customers and contractors related to exemption or grandfathering.
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures, and add, develop or implement best practices.

Education:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related.
Experience:
Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a similar position.
Skills:
Very good Computer skills (Microsoft Office and Internet).
Good Command of English Language.

- Ensure full compliance with Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) requirements regarding Excise Tax, including timely reporting, documentation, and payment.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Sales, and Customs departments to verify product codes and maintain up-to-date GPC/HS codes.
