We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our Retail HR team in Saudi Arabia.

In this role, you will be responsible for all retail operations in KSA, providing strategic oversight of business development to ensure the existing business is prepared for expansion and new stores have the necessary competencies to deliver. You will design, develop, and implement relevant HR strategies and practices that align with best retail practices and comply with Group HR policies.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring the HR function of the brand complies with local legislation.
  2. Providing consultative advice to managers and staff on HR matters including discipline, grievances, and performance management.
  3. Collaborating with Finance and the Expansion team to plan, prepare, and present new store structures and headcount proposals.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Preferably tertiary or CIPD qualified.

  • Knowledge of Arabic is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily HR operations in compliance with local laws and company policies.
  • Oversee onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain employee records and support HR systems (Workday).
  • Act as the main contact for HR queries and policy guidance.
  • Handle government relations (HRDF, Tamheer, Iqama renewals, etc.).
  • Drive employee engagement and CSR initiatives locally.
  • Ensure policies and the employee handbook are updated and communicated.

Experiences, Skills, And Expectations

  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Labor Law.
  • Experience in an international Organization.
  • Comfortable using Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and HRIS tools like Workday.

Your future role

You'll positively impact an organization by aligning HR strategies with business objectives, enhancing employee engagement and retention, improving organizational performance, managing risk and compliance, and attracting and retaining top talent. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, demonstrating expertise in HR and more.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Counsel the business on HR topics.
  • Be knowledgeable about business needs and align HR actions accordingly, including implementing HR strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and support management on HR-related issues.
  • Manage recruitment processes, including workforce planning, candidate sourcing and selection, and induction.
  • Develop people at all levels through coaching, performance management, development plans, and training, while monitoring performance metrics and adhering to budget constraints.

  • Saudi National Only.
  • University degree, majoring in human resources, psychology, business studies, social science, or economics. Desirable MBA with specialization in HR.
  • Experience or understanding of generalist HR management covering all areas of HR practice.
  • Knowledge of 10 years HR experience in a similar industry/environment.
  • Familiarity with influence and resilience within a matrix organization structure.
  • Professional expertise in employment law issues, redundancies, payroll, and employee relations.
