POSITION SUMMARY

Our Spa Specialists play an important role in support of a number of vital Spa functions. At our hotels these associates work to build an experience that is memorable and unique – with Spa services on the side. Our Spa Specialists take the initiative and deliver a wide range of services to make sure that guests enjoy their experience. Whether promoting Spa services or retail, scheduling reservations and confirming appointments, providing answers about services, checking in guests, or processing payments, the Spa Specialist makes transactions feel like part of the experience.

No matter what position you are in, there are a few things that are critical to success – creating a safe workplace, following company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional. Spa Specialists will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time; moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces), managing reservation software (read and visually verify information), and taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance and 25 pounds with assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping). Doing all these things well (and other reasonable job duties as requested) is critical for Spa Specialists – to get it right for our guests and our business each and every time.

Overview

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh within the Spa Department in Riyadh, the Spa Therapist is responsible for performing all spa treatments to guests in a professional and pleasant manner, as trained.

• It is part of your role to understand and comply with all corporate and hotel policies and standard operating procedures.
• MOHG Code of Conduct requires that all business activities and business decisions comply with the general law, with all rules, regulations, and other requirements.

Layla Wakfer is a dedicated and compassionate paediatric occupational therapist from South Africa, where she completed her Occupational Therapy degree at the University of Cape Town.

Layla has been living in Brisbane for 3.5 years. With a warm and empathetic approach, Layla establishes strong connections with her young clients and their families, creating a comfortable, fun and trusting environment for effective therapy.

Layla has a multitude of experience working as an occupational therapist in mental health and paediatric settings, in both South Africa and Australia. Layla’s expertise encompasses a wide range of paediatric conditions, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorders, developmental delays, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning difficulties and physical disabilities.

Layla is committed to continuous professional development to enhance her skills. She has completed her training in Ayres Sensory Integration (CLASI) and Typical Child Development – Australian Bobath Neurodevelopmental Therapy Association. Job Description

As a Head Therapist you are responsible for the smooth and effective daily operation of the sauna and spa, delivering high standard of spa treatments and services to all guests, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

• Maintain safety in massage room and privacy for members and guests
• Provide a courteous and professional service at all times
• Perform massage sessions in accordance with the massage schedule
• Work in close coordination with the line manager to ensure the smooth operation.
• Ensure that members and guests use the sauna and massage room in the proper suggested attire
