About the Role
The Construction Coordinator supports the planning, execution, and monitoring of McDonald’s store and office construction projects. This includes preparing technical reports, coordinating site surveys, managing equipment and installation processes, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, and evaluating contractor performance. The role plays a key part in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Resident Construction Engineer - Electrical to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for monitoring and inspection of on-site electrical installation activities and testing and commissioning. Provides technical guidance to contractors and utilizes his expertise to ensure that the permanent works are constructed per the contract in accordance with applicable codes, standards, approved drawings and specifications, budget and schedule.
What You'll Be Doing:
Monitors construction contractors' works and electrical installations and testing activities.
Monitors and reports contractors' performance on all aspects of the contractors works to include health and safety, KPI compliance and any other duties as assigned by senior management.
Witnesses contractors' quality control inspections to ensure that the permanent works are constructed according to the contract, applicable codes, standards, approved drawings and specifications.
Witnesses all testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities to assure contractors' compliance with the approved plans and procedures.
Reviews contractor-submitted shop and as-built drawings, materials submittals, tie-in procedures, project schedules, and work permits; and coordinates with the concerned departments for obtaining their approval and/or their comments.
Reviews contractors' electrical quality assurance and quality control programs, Inspection and test plans, installation, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, for electrical equipment and cable work, and provides comments for transmittal to the contractors.
Arranges meetings between the contractor and concerned departments to resolve interfacing problems during construction.
Organizes, coordinates, and conducts in conjunction with the concerned departments acceptance inspections and re-inspections of the completed permanent works, until all deficiencies are corrected and signed off.
Reviews contractors' invoices for correctness of installed quantities for the electrical portion of the permanent works.
Attends a bi-weekly meeting between the Royal Commission Construction team and the Contractor.
Initiates and prepares for SRCM draft electrical related letters, memos or reports to contractors and other Departments.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelors' degree in electrical engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of solid practical experience with at least 3 years Middle East work experience is required.
Field knowledge of design in electrical work, preferably for electrical buildings and infrastructure works.
Desired project type experience; buildings and infrastructure.
Must be fluent and be able to effectively communicate in both spoken and written English skills.
Knowledge of construction safety and computer literate with basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), read construction schedules (Primavera).

In this role you will be **r** **esponsible** **for managing both administrative and site-based construction** **monitoring activities, while providing technical oversight to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with** **the approved budget, schedule, design specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and contractual** **obligations** **.**
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Monitors multiple contracts and the associated civil and structural field activities of construction contractors to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, including scope of work, procedures, cost, schedule, installation, testing, and commissioning. This includes, but is not limited to, systems such as;1.Structural Framework; Supervise load-bearing elements, ensure compliance with structural codes and seismic standards, and support structural analysis reviews.2.Earthworks & Site Preparation; Oversee excavation, grading, soil testing, and slope stabilization activities.3.Foundations; Monitor installation of shallow and deep foundation systems, settlement mitigation (dewatering) measures, and waterproofing works.4.Concrete & Masonry Works; Supervise reinforced concrete, precast/post-tensioned systems, & masonry wall construction.5.Steel Structures; Coordinate fabrication and erection, inspect corrosion protection, and verify connection detailing.6.Roads & Hardscaping; Manage internal roads, pedestrian pathways, drainage systems, and paving works.7.Asphalt Paving & Highways; Support design and execution of carriageways, subgrade preparation, asphalt laying, compaction, and road marking/signage.8.Drainage Systems; Oversee surface and subsurface drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control measures.9.Utility Infrastructure; Coordinate civil works for water, sewer, electrical, and telecom systems, ensuring alignment with MEP services.10.Architectural Finishes & Structural Fixings: Oversee architectural finishes such as plastering, tiling, painting, and cladding, ensuring quality and design compliance. Manage structural fixings including brackets, anchors, and embedded items, coordinating with structural and MEP teams to resolve interface issues.
+ Implement and adhere with the QA/QC Program, safety regulations, and specification during the work activities.
+ Must have can do attitude, pro-active approach to all daily tasks, ability to provide solution for daily construction problems, thoroughly understand the technical background of the construction drawings,
+ Provide guidance to contractors regarding schedule, procedures, scope of work and other information requirements.
+ Plan, organize, monitor, and follow up on contractors' activities. Supervise the contractor's work to ensure that site operations are effectively executed, and that all required tests and inspections are properly conducted and accurately documented.
+ Develop a close working relationship with contractor. Provide technical guidance in interpretation of the Contract documents and specifications. Review job plans, methods, equipment, staffing and productivity and detect potential problems in conforming to established schedules or specifications. Review problems with contractor to determine whether actions proposed are adequate for resolution.
+ Review method statements, technical material submittals, shop drawings and as-built drawings submitted by contractor for compliance with Contract requirements. Obtain engineering review and approval. Identify and report on discrepancies in original design or in contract documents which necessitate contract modifications.
+ Review submitted construction, quality assurance and other procedures, and obtain necessary approvals.
+ Coordinate with other departments and third parties to obtain required support and /or approvals. Coordinate interfaces between contractors and project management staff where project impacts on other projects. Resolve conflicts in schedules and coordinate tie-ins of facilities where applicable.
+ Recommend approval of schedule changes in sequence of construction activities where required.
+ Compile technical data to prepare weekly and monthly reports on project progress, cost and quality control.
+ Conduct or direct fact-finding investigations and advise SRCE and SRCM of problems in meeting schedules or specifications.
+ Assist SRCE and SRCM in administration functions and initiate correspondence (draft letters/reports) to contractors and other departments for SRCM's signature.
+ Review and validate billing items submitted in Work Estimates, confirm actual progress, determine work completion percentages, and recommend payments accordingly. Advise contractors on any discrepancies, required corrections, or additional documentation.
+ Assist in coordinating the compilation of relevant documentation and the determination of actual events and situations causing contract delays and/or claims and in evaluating validity of claims.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural engineering.
+ Minimum five years of on-site construction experience, with strong exposure to highways, roads, bridges, underground structures (e.g. water tanks, pump stations), and infrastructure works such as utility networks and drainage systems.
+ Familiarity with major building types; such as residential villas, mid-rise apartments, commercial, industrial, and medical buildings, as well as substations, would be advantageous.
+ A thorough working knowledge of civil and structural engineering practices is necessary.
+ Must possess solid knowledge of relevant international and national standards, including ASTM, ACI, IBC, BS, the Saudi Building Code, SASO regulations, and guidelines issued by the Saudi Ministry of Transport.
+ At least 3 years Middle East work experience is desirable.
+ Fluent in spoken and written English; ability to produce clear technical documentation and reports.
+ Must be able to obtain a Saudi Driving License.
