**Compliance Director - Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement an overall compliance strategy and program that aligns with the pharmaceutical company's goals and objectives.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices in Saudi Arabia, and monitor changes that may impact the company's operations.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, legal counsel, and relevant departments, to ensure effective implementation of compliance programs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other relevant bodies to stay informed and influence regulatory developments.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of compliance programs, including metrics, key performance indicators, and trends to senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Stay informed about emerging compliance issues, trends, and best practices in the pharmaceutical industry and proactively adapt the company's compliance program accordingly.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to senior management on legal and compliance matters, including potential risks and opportunities.
**Compliance Director - Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in law or a related field. A master's degree or advanced certification in compliance is highly desirable.
- Proven experience (8-10 years) in legal and compliance roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or a regulated sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian laws, regulations, and industry-specific requirements related to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of compliance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Handle legal issues related to business development, labour law and corporate governance. Negotiate and draft distribution agreements, licensing agreements, promotion agreements, services agreements, acquisition and/or divestment agreements.

- Law school graduate & bar qualification (admitted to practice law in a jurisdiction)
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic essential.
- 10 years post qualification experience required: ideally gained within a healthcare / pharmaceutical environment, and/or, with a top-tier law firm representing healthcare.
- Experience in Saudi Arabia and Gulf is preferable
- Experience in managing Legal & Compliance teams, work and projects
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to analyse complex legal and compliance issues.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills; together with a high ability to influence and negotiate.
- Proven ability to deal positively when working within tight time pressures & demanding clients.

The Legal and Compliance Specialist will lead legal operations, oversee contract compliance, and serve as the main liaison with regulatory authorities. This position also supports legal aspects of technology and finance initiatives, ensuring operational integrity and risk mitigation.

- Proven expertise in data protection, privacy regulations, and cross-sector compliance
