Job Description
- Meets with and reports to the Director of Event Planning about assigned functions within the Event Planning program.
- Oversees the work of assigned staff, consultants, contractors, operators and other associated service providers within the MDO community outreach program. Provides guidance and direction on projects and assignments as necessary to ensure their successful completion.
- Coordinates community engagement activities within Qiddiya in conjunction with public asset and service needs to ensure successful messaging and information sharing with the community. May include development and execution of public messaging campaigns; creation and distribution of press releases, flyers, and other communication tools; oversight of the MDO social media and website platforms; and other related means of public information sharing.
- Recommends improvements to division procedures and develops implementation plans for any improvements as authorized by the DEP
- Manages all assigned functions within the fiscal constraints established by and within the EP division operating budget.
- Actively participates in and promotes the Quality Improvement Programs. Audits assigned services to ensure compliance with BMPs and modern practices.
- Adopts behaviors that are in line with and promote the QIC culture and vision. Manages staff so as to encourage their adherence to the organizational culture and vision.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and standards on a local, regional and national level. Ensures compliance with corporate policies.
- Coordinates assigned projects and activities with pertinent external groups, such as regulatory agencies, stakeholders, utility providers, customers, and the like, as necessary.
- Develops and leads service provision training programs relative to the various assigned functions within MDO. The training may be delivered to EP staff, QIC partners, and/or external operators, stakeholders, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with all relevant MENA legislation, with support from legal team.

The Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist leads the design and delivery of programs that support employee health, safety, and wellbeing across the MENA. This role ensures compliance with local legislation, aligns with SAP's global standards, and integrates wellbeing into the overall employee experience. Combining strategy, compliance, and people-focused programming, the role helps shape a resilient, safe, and high-performing workplace. This role sits in the Head of People & Culture office for MENA
**Key Responsibilitie**
**Program Strategy & Delivery**
+ Develop and deliver health, safety, and wellness programs tailored to evolving workforce needs (e.g., hybrid work, psychological safety, burnout).
+ Align programs with SAP's People Strategy and Global Health & Safety Management Standard.
**Regulatory Compliance & Risk**
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant MENA legislation, with support from legal team.
+ Track regulatory changes and where relevant update policies, processes, and training (or support these updates across other functions).
**Governance & Committees**
+ Lead MENA Health & Safety Councils; run quarterly meetings and drive follow-up actions.
+ Support joint health and safety committees where required by law.
**Communication & Collaboration**
+ Drive awareness campaigns that foster a culture of wellbeing.
+ Where relevant, facilitate health and safety awareness to employees and managers.
+ Collaborate with functions such as Total Rewards and Facilities to embed inclusive wellbeing into the employee journey.
+ Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for H&S concerns.
**Budget & Vendor Management**
+ Manage the health & safety budget and oversee vendors for mental health and safety programming.
**Skills & Attributes**
+ Strong self-starter with a track record of resolving complex issues.
+ Skilled in project management, with the ability to lead from concept to delivery.
+ Excellent communicator, able to influence senior leaders and adapt to different audiences.
