**Responsibilities**
The Communications Specialist is responsible forsupporting C4I systems such as NAVMACS, HF, UHF, and VHF Radios and Antennas, Tactical Data Links (Link-11, 16, 22), CENTRIXS, Network Communications, SATCOM, or ADSI.This role requirs experience in military operations or related fields, with a strong focus on technical proficiency, analytical skills, and effective communication. The specialist will develop and implement emergency response plans, oversee surveillance systems, and provide expert guidance on operational readiness to support mission objectives.
+ Evaluate information from command centers and prepare high-level military and government reports as needed.

+ Direct the operation of weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to ensure mission success.
+ Analyze and assess system performance to recommend enhancements and upgrades.

**Posted Pay Range**

- Install, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, administer, and upgrade LAN (Cisco), WAN (Cisco), SDWAN (VMware VeloCloud), and WLAN devices (Aruba Cloud Central), Cisco Webex Video conference cloud and facilities, video conference in general such as Microsoft Teams, and Cisco IP Telephony and all the integration.
- Establishes technical environment by creating RFPs, designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards, and following PMO project management.
- Participate in developing and maintaining a backup, recovery procedures, and processes.
- Maintain a Change Management process and procedures.
- Provide 3rd-level support to resolve service Desk and operation tickets as assigned.

- Prepare Technical specifications for network and unified communication infrastructure requirements.
- Responsible for all interfaces and integration of Network and unified communication infrastructure with other teams and functions.
- Advise on best practices and make recommendations on functionality that best supports business objectives.
- Collaborate with personnel throughout the IT organization in the implementation and support of global IT initiatives.
- Support business initiatives and complete other duties as assigned by the direct manager.
- Maintain and foster collaborative effort with all business functions and the IT teams to identify, establish, and share best practices.
- Manage all Installation and Upgrade of Network infrastructure devices.
- Reporting network and unified communication operational status by gathering, and prioritizing information.
- Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure network capacity meets existing and future requirements.
- Design and monitor effective implementation of network and unified communication systems.
- Planning and control of budget: capex vs. opex
- Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network and Unified communications HW/SW.
- Managing national and international connectivity contracts for Internet & WAN.
- Oversees full network infrastructure including LAN, WAN & WLAN.
- Designing and Implementation of new sites, responsible for maintaining IP address schema and maintaining the network documentation.
- Managing web and video conferencing solutions including and not limited to TEAMS, and Cisco WebEx.
- Plan and build disaster recovery and business continuity framework.
- Security hardening of IT infrastructure and working closely with CISO.
- Establish and maintain service level agreements (SLA) with end users and operational level agreements (OLA) with other EBS departments.
- Supporting in design, and implementation of Inorganic growth, Carve out, Integration, Cloud migration, and critical projects.
- Prepare RFPs, scope of work reports, technical evaluation, and other documentation for IT projects.
- Test network and unified communication performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
- Conduct internal user awareness sessions and trainings.
- Ensure network reliability and resiliency to support on-premises and cloud-hosted services.
- Apply best practice security measures overall network and UC systems by working collaboratively with the security team.
- Work closely with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network/UC products and services.
- Institute network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, life cycle management, and related documentation.
- Works on special IT projects as needed.
