Job Overview:

We are seeking a technically proficient and experienced Testing and Commissioning Engineer with a solid background in Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear and panel boards. The candidate must be capable of executing full testing and commissioning cycles, working across multiple OEM brands, and adapting to complex site conditions and project-specific configurations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform primary and secondary injection testing of MV switchgear and protective devices
• Conduct functional testing of
  : Protection relays (distance, differential, overcurrent, earth fault), Circuit breakers (VCB, SF6, AIS/GIS), Current and voltage transformers, busbar protection, Interlock systems (mechanical and electrical)
• Carry out:
  Insulation resistance testing, Dielectric withstand (HiPot) testing, Contact resistance measurements, Relay configuration and setting uploads via vendor software
• Commission panels from major OEMs including but not limited to:
  Siemen
  s (NXAIR, 8DJH),
  Schneider Electri
  c (PIX, Premset),
  ABB
  (UniGear, SafeRing),
  Eaton, Hyundai, LS Electric, GE
• Interpret and modify relay logic diagrams, single line diagrams, wiring schematics, and interlock schemes
• Configure and test numerical relays such as Siprotec, Micom, Sepam, REF615/620, P14x
• Verify settings files, trip logic, and simulate faults using software such as DIGSI, Easergy, PCM600

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical, Power, or Instrumentation Engineering
• Minimum of 3 to 7 years of MV panel board commissioning experience
• Proficiency in using test equipment such as Omicron CMC 356 or 256, Megger, CPC100, TTR, FREJA, Doble, Scope

Position Summary: Responsible for the final stages of asset readiness, ensuring all systems and equipment are installed, tested, and operate according to design specifications prior to handover. Reporting to the Engineering Manager or Resident Engineer.

Key Qualifications And Requirements (Mandatory)

• Educational Foundation: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, requiring at least 15 years of overall professional experience regardless of degree type.
• Mandatory Certification: No specific certification is mandatory.
