Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, supporting, maintaining, and updating the asset management system and procedures including implementing strategies, writing documentation and guidance, and maintaining a database to ensure the best overall life cycle costs to support the operations.

  1.   • Validate the Contractor's interim and final payment applications from a commercial perspective and any variation from the GMP figures (rates, Contractor compliance of payment rules as per the Contract, retentions, back-charges, fees, taxes, etc.).
  • Assist the Estimation and Project Control teams in respect of contractual implications of change orders
  • Attends Commercial Meetings and records minutes of meetings.
  • Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

Core Job Functions


• Contract Administration: Manage contract obligations, variations, claims, and commercial

correspondence.


• Cost Monitoring: Track project budgets, forecast expenditures, and identify cost-saving

opportunities.


• Valuations: Prepare and certify interim and final payment applications for clients and

subcontractors.


• Claims Management: Lead negotiation and resolution of claims, ensuring ,timely and

commercially sound outcomes.


• Final Account Preparation: Reconcile and close out project accounts with clients and

subcontractors.


• Reporting: Deliver accurate commercial reports, cost-to-complete forecasts, and financial

dashboards.


• Collaboration: Interface with project teams, procurement, finance, and legal to ensure

commercial alignment.

Selection Requirements


• Appointment at the discretion of Senior Management.


• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related MEP field.


• Minimum 5 years of commercial management experience in the construction sector.

Duties & Responsibilities

Commercial Oversight


• Lead all commercial activities in accordance with company policy.


• Ensure ,timely submission of payment applications and compliance with contract terms.


• Maintain variation logs, cost reports, and commercial registers.


• Provide guidance on resolving commercial discrepancies and disputes.


• Implement commercial controls and assurance procedures.

Human Resource Interface


• Support commercial team performance, motivation, and discipline.


• Ensure compliance with labor cost controls and commercial HR policies.


• Participate in safety and performance reviews with site teams.


• Promote commercial awareness and training across project teams.
