Responsibilities:

• Conducts him or herself in a professional manner at all times.
• Promotes safety and quality at all times.
• Experienced and adept at manual and CNC machining Alloy and non-alloys materials using CNC Horizontal turning lathe and Horizontal Boring cum milling machine.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
• Operates CNC mills and lathes, by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Set-up CNC mills and lathes, by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, stock pushers; indicating vices; and tramming heads.
• Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend changes or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to setup and production.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities.
• Maintains a personal inventory of basic tooling needed to complete routine CNC and manual machining setups.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and other programming languages.
• Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines, tooling, and programming, while performing routine maintenance on CNC equipment, including Wire EDM machines.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance machining processes and efficiency, while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in machining is preferred, with at least 5 years of experience in the same field.
• Proven experience as a CNC machinist and programmer, including specific expertise in Wire EDM drilling and CMM.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code); familiarity with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot programming and machining issues optimally.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with strong communication skills to coordinate effectively.
• Demonstrates a commitment to precision and quality in all aspects of machining and programming work.
