Job Description:

Role: Sales Manager - Infrastructure and Cloud Services

The ideal candidate must have solid experience in selling IT infrastructure and cloud solutions—including servers, storage, networking, and data center technologies—specifically within the Riyadh market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage client relationships in Riyadh to generate leads and close IT infrastructure sales.
  • Understand client needs and offer tailored infrastructure solutions (servers, storage, networking, etc.).
  • Work closely with presales and technical teams to deliver proposals and presentations.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets while expanding the client base in the region.
  • Prepare quotes, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and manage the full sales cycle.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships (e.g., Cisco, Dell, HPE) to stay updated on offerings.
  • Report on sales activities and market feedback regularly.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Sales KSA (mandatory).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the IT infrastructure domain.
  • Strong knowledge of servers, storage, networking, and data center solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Existing client network in Riyadh is a strong advantage.

The role of a Cloud Professional Services Manager at Canonical

The Field Engineering team is our team of cloud solutions architects at Canonical, working directly with our customers, designing private and public cloud solutions fitting their workload needs. The portfolio of products includes on-premise cloud solutions such as Openstack, MicroCloud and Ceph, and solutions that could be deployed either on-premises or in public clouds such as Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Spark, PostgreSQL, etc. The team works hands-on with the technologies by deploying, testing and handing over the solution to our support or managed services team at the end of a project. Managers and team members also take part in presales conversations to provide technical advice during the sales process.

A Cloud Professional Services Manager is responsible for line management and career guidance. The ability to develop engineering talent, to represent your team from a technical perspective, and to drive collaboration with other teams and customers are all critical to success in this role. You are also expected to actively participate in technical presales to help our department achieve our quarterly goals.

Location: This role will be home based, managing a team in your time zone.

  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time. Field Engineers attend internal company events, external tech events and customer meetings.

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Security, Microsoft VoIP, and general cloud solutions.

Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of cloud engineers specializing in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Security, Microsoft VoIP, and general cloud solutions.
  • Allocate resources and manage workloads effectively to meet project timelines and service-level agreements.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and create professional development plans for team members.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing cloud operations, improving system performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define the vision and roadmap for cloud technology services.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and VoIP to recommend strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud solutions including Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS services, Microsoft 365 Security Suite, and Microsoft Teams VoIP services.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in security, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance across all projects.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for escalated technical issues and critical customer projects.
  • Work closely with clients to understand business requirements and ensure alignment with delivered solutions.
  • Present project updates, operational reports, and technical recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and knowledge bases for cloud services.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

  • BA in Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Advanced certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Expert or ITIL Certification for Service Management are preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud solutions architecture, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, VoIP technologies (Microsoft Teams), and cloud security solutions.
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and complex cloud-based projects.
  • Strategic thinking with strong project management and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in automation tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
