- Must develop strong and collaborative working relationships with various internal departments within Qiddiya Investment Company to effectively manage the required interfaces at the appropriate times in order to reach the stated goals.

- Attend briefing meetings with the Development Team as part of the design process in order to progress the design.
- Support implementation of Sustainability issues.
- Oversee and assess all matters related to design being 'fit for purpose' as well as reviewing all aspects of health and safety.
- Review drawing information to date and contract project particulars.
- Control the drawing management and distribution of all design consultants / sub-contract designers.
- Control the design sign off process by all design consultants / sub-contract designers including internal design checking
- Manage design change and design notification instructions in coordination with PM.
- Liaise with the Senior Director Design / Development Manager / Program and Construction Managers to understand project programs, budgets and quality issues.
- Coordinating with the Development Manager during the entire design and construction process to help facilitate timely execution and smooth hand-overs from design to construction and from construction to operations. This includes, but is not limited to;
- Having a working understanding of the level of drawing and specification content that is required at each stage of the design process,
- The ability to navigate the permitting and municipality approvals processes,
- Being fully capable to manage contractor performance, site meetings, payment applications and handover documents.
- Checking shop drawings for coordination and conformity to the design objectives liaising with the site team.
- Assessing the material submittals to ensure conformity to the specifications and correct provenance.
- Present a regular design progress report update to the Project Executive.
- Assist in the management of the production of as-built drawings and preparation of O+M manuals.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or a related field
- Must have a minimum of 9-12 years of relevant experience in design management, specifically in sports, mixed-use, or commercial development projects
- Strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions and successful project outcomes
- Adept at reading drawings and specifications
- Strong English skills (spoken and written). Arabic language skills are desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently deliver design presentations to large groups and VIP audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of design software and tools (including but not limited to BIM 360, ACAD, Powerpoint, Excel and other associated architectural software)

We are currently seeking a Senior Design Manager to enhance the Sports Development teams. In this role, you will oversee the design process for various venue projects, ensuring they reflect our commitment to quality, sustainability, and creativity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the design and development of sports, entertainment or multipurpose venues.
As a key team member on the Qiddiya Sports BU development team, the Senior Design Manager is considered a key person in providing design and technical support in order to effectively deliver high quality Sports related vertical projects.
In conjunction with the Head of Development’s stated objectives and working closely with the Senior Director (SD) Planning & Design, the role requires the management of design development to drive efficient and productive direction through design management from concept through to successful handover of the projects.
The Senior Design Manager is charged with closely working with internal and external team members to meet or exceed time, cost and quality goals of an assigned portfolio in alignment with the overall Qiddiya development strategy.
- Support the SD in the process of leading and managing the design process for venue projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to create innovative design solutions that meet the needs of clients and the community
- Be familiar with the Qiddiya design standards and objectives and shall maintain full awareness of vision goals in order to help implementation.
