Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Doors Hardware Engineer located in Al Khobar. The Doors Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the development and design of hardware systems, including circuit design and computer hardware. Daily tasks include the creation of electronics hardware designs, troubleshooting, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.

• Follow up, review and confirm Hardware material datasheets, samples, client approvals with Door/HW package subcontractor as main contractor package representative.

• Discuss and support package manager with engineering requirements prior to construction start, and attend meetings with consultants, and other subcontractors in his presence for package matters.

• Coordinate with the MEP team for LV systems and other electrical system types linking to Door/HW package contractor and make sure accurate submissions and proper coordination is done for these items prior to submission and during installation phase.

• Liaising and coordinating to provide spaces and locations for project hardware storage on site based on requirements of Door/HW subcontractor/making sure necessary shipments are brought to site by Door/HW package subcontractor as per their base line program and installed accurately on site.

• Ensuring that Door/HW package contractor aligns with their E1 & E2 log submissions and aligns with project program.

• Ensure that proper and accurate door and hardware schedule is submitted by the door/HW subcontractor, and that respective door shop drawings have correct hardware placed on them and shop drawings are aligned accordingly with contract requirements.

• Providing reports for installation of doors and their respective HW for the project package during construction.

• Post-engineering phase to follow up on site with respective door package subcontractor for installation and coordination on site with respective package manager and site staff.

• Reporting to package manager for general requirements related to door/hardware package.

This role is pivotal to ensuring the performance and reliability of our 60 GHz mmWave platforms and networking equipment.

Key Responsibilities

PCB Design & Development

• Lead schematic capture and layout of complex multilayer PCBs for high-speed wireline interfaces (10G/25G/40G).

• Design and simulate differential pairs, impedance-controlled traces, and high-frequency signal paths.

• Develop PoE and power delivery circuitry compliant with 802.3af/at/bt standards.

Signal Integrity & Validation

• Perform SI/PI simulations and coordinate board-level validation using oscilloscopes, VNAs, and test fixtures.

• Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC standards and contribute to product certifications.

• Collaborate with manufacturing partners on PCB stackups, fabrication specs, and assembly guidelines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with RF, mechanical, and software engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.

• Assist in hardware bring-up, system integration, and field debugging.

Documentation & Reliability

• Generate BOMs, test procedures, layout guidelines, and hardware release documentation.

• Contribute to design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-test (DFT) practices.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in high-speed PCB design and hardware development.

• Expertise in signal integrity, PoE design, and Ethernet PHY interfaces (SFP+, QSFP, etc.).

• Proficiency with ECAD tools (Altium Designer, KiCAD, or Cadence Allegro).

• Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).

• Familiarity with embedded systems and digital hardware design.

• Experience with mmWave systems or RF is a plus but not required.
