JOB SUMMARY

The Mathematics and Sciences Department (MSD) at the College of Humanities and Sciences (CHS) is seeking a motivated and dedicated male candidate to join our faculty as a Chemistry Lab Instructor/Technician for the upcoming 1st semester of the academic year 2025/2026. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemistry and a passion for teaching and mentoring students in a laboratory environment.

Applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:

• Male candidates only.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry or related field, having earned the degrees from an accredited university and on-site as a full-time student.
• Excellent proficiency with the English language (all teaching/advising will be in English).
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and regulations.
• Experience in maintaining laboratory instruments.
• Previous teaching experience in a laboratory setting is desirable.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Preparing and delivering laboratory sessions for undergraduate chemistry courses.

• Round trip tickets (maximum 4: employee, spouse, and 2 children below 18 years of age) for annual leave with paid annual (summer) vacation of two (2) months, plus 2 local paid holidays of about 15 days each (as applicable).
• Tuition fees of Saudi Riyals 30,000 maximum for children attending school within the Kingdom. Details will be specified in the contract.
• Free, furnished accommodation plus essential utilities and maintenance will be provided subject to availability, OR the successful candidate will be provided a housing allowance based on academic rank.
• End-of-service yearly gratuity, which starts on the 2nd year of continuous service (if the candidate completed a minimum of 2 years).

2. Issues testing instructions to technicians and assistant technicians.
