Job Description
An international marine survey company is seeking a marine surveyor or person with logistics experience to work in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, principally in the Port of Dammam. Travel to other locations in the region may be required.
Applicants should have some experience in the following areas;
- Seagoing experience on cargo vessels or
- Cargo / project cargo surveying experience or
- International freight and logistics experience with project cargo
Applicant should have a valid passport and local Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or International driving license.
Experience or familiarity with marine cargo processes and documentation are preferred as well as with the following project cargo documents;
- Project Cargo Risk Management - Load, stow and secure cargo
- Be capable of interpreting and reviewing;
- Method statements
- Technical drawings
- Packaging specifications (where relevant)
- Lifting plans
- Securing plans / calculations
Training and technical support will be provided as required. Candidates must have report-writing and communication skills in English and a working knowledge of Arabic will be advantageous. Strong, analytical reasoning, attention to detail, and client-facing professionalism are essential.
Appropriate KSA work permits will be provided. Upon completion of 3 months' probation period health insurance, local transportation and home flights will be provided. All material and equipment to complete the work required will be provided (safety equipment, laptop etc).

*Position Summary *
The position is responsible for managing the cargo's daily operational activities and performance, to achieve and ensure the company's profitability and station revenue.
*Key Accountability *
- To monitor inbound and outbound documents available for flights before departure and upon arrival.
- To assist warehouse inspections on reported cases of mishandling, pilferage, delivery of damage shipment and process reports for recovery.
- To ensure smooth and orderly delivery of cargo, Airways Bills (AWB) confirmation, complete Customs documentation, shipping order (DO) and release authority before release to consignee.
- To ensure that vendors deliver their services according to their contracts and Service Level Agreement (SLA).
*Qualification & Working Experience *
- SPM, DVM, STPM, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree or higher tertiary qualification in any field
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in cargo, airline or aviation services

- Cargo, airline or aviation services, customer services .

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and determine appropriate repair actions.

- To generate and manage a portfolio of clients and actively develop new business through initiative including following up on new leads, client recommendations and networking opportunities
- Responsible for developing the Cargo Sales and implementing related business objectives across KSA in line with company’s objectives
Responsibilities of the Role
- To proactively identify opportunities to grow the business in KSA to ensure business objectives are met
- Use initiative to identify new potential areas for business development
- Keep up to date with competitor activity to identify business opportunities
- Work towards and in line with all agreed group sales and operations strategies
- Work in partnership with the local broker departments by providing them with all relevant information and supporting them throughout the brokering process
- Liaise with clients to identify requirements and source suitable, competitive aircraft charter solutions
- Maintain and develop relationships with both key clients and new business leads to maximize business opportunities and increase client loyalty in an industry where client retention is never guaranteed
- Contact airlines to confirm weekend availability and communicating this to colleagues and other airlines to maximise sales
- In a timely manner as defined by the Regional Business Development Manager, record all pertinent customer prospect information and sales activity in the CRM System
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 Years of experience in a sales role
- Knowledge of the global and local Saudi market
- Background in Air Freight/Freight Forwarding/Logistics
- Team player to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong relationship building, account management & customer service skills
