**Job Description**
**What you'll do;**
+ Execute assignments according to GE EHS and Quality requirements & ensure rules are understood by the crew prior to the start of work.
+ Provide technical and EHS direction to those performing the work on Customer sites.
+ Lead and supervise repair jobs at Customer sites and act as the representative of OSS in front of the customer (internal and external) to ensure safe, quality and timely completion of work.
+ Perform in-situ machining operations, including milling, boring, flange facing, drilling, grinding, and turning, on gas and steam turbine components.
+ Operate portable boring bars and machining equipment for precise machining of turbine casings, bearing housings, and diaphragms.
+ Conduct gas turbine casing alignment to ensure proper fit and assembly of turbine components.
+ Perform steam turbine diaphragm alignment to restore concentricity and minimize efficiency losses.
+ Carry out shaft and journal repairs, including grinding, polishing, and metal spraying, to restore worn-out surfaces.
+ Use laser or dial indicator alignment techniques to achieve precise positioning of machined components.Complete all pre-job planning and post job reporting required, fulfilling the needs of the customer as assigned including machine and tooling preparation, ordering parts and supplies.
+ Special duties can include but not be limited to: projects as assigned by management, development of innovative service offerings, delivery of training, and drive safety, quality, and customer-centric culture.
+ Must be willing to travel globally on short notice, and for extended periods of time during outage seasons; and the willingness to work weekly schedules that are not uniform on a day-to-day basis.

+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or diploma in machining, turning etc. or equivalent experience in machining.
+ Prior experience in operations such as milling, boring, flange facing, drilling, grinding, and turning.

+ Ability to handle complex work-packages.
+ Able to communicate and understand/read technical work instructions in English.

+ All on site inspection related service activities able to be performed at customer site. Includes Borescope & NDT inspection
+ Set-up and operation of Borescope inspection and Generator Robotics tools and equipment.
+ Carry out Borescope and robotics Inspection on Gas turbine , steam turbines & Generators main modules and associate parts .
+ Execute Borescope processes by applying the current approved technical data and standard work procedure.
+ Furnish inspections report and complete documentation after completion of task.
+ Carry out Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) on borescope & Robotics equipment
+ Solve technical issues and problems as appropriate when encountered during daily activities
+ Assist the Operations Leadership team in their day-to-day operations to achieve production targets, corporate goals and objective
+ Perform cross functional jobs within the department if required
+ Suggests improvements in products, processes and procedures.
+ Preform Onsite training and Mentoring for junior Inspectors and qualification process
+ Setting-up and operating nondestructive inspection (PT, UT, EC, MT ) related tools/equipment.
+ Performing prescribed NDT inspection techniques and processes to detect part compliance issues.
+ Performing basic mathematical calculations.
+ Performing related environmental, health, safety, maintenance, quality, continuous improvement, and production-flow job duties to support plant machinery, equipment, and manufacturing related initiatives and programs.
+ Maintaining detailed job task documentation, reports, and records
**What you'll bring;**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering
+ Experienced with robotics,
+ Level 2 Certification in UT PT and ECI .
+ borescope NDT and inspections in Utilities or Oil & Gas or Marine industries
+ 10+ years of experience
+ Flexible to travel on high frequency domestically and internationally
+ Good command of English and fluent in Arabic
+ Good Communication and Presentation Skills

Atkins Middle East is engaged with a major private client, based in Riyadh, working on KSA government projects. Part of this engagement consists of surveying a range of secure government communication assets and related facilities throughout the Kingdom.

The Building Services Engineer will form part of a 2 man survey team, working alongside a Lead Building Surveyor. The team will be project managed from Riyadh with the requirement to travel extensively throughout KSA to undertake condition assessments at over 100 government sites throughout the Kingdom.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with leading organisations within KSA and to form a key role in this exciting national programme.

  • Sole responsibility for Building Services Engineering assessment.
  • Preparation of robust and accurate reports in prescribed format.
  • Following Atkins Project Quality Plan.
  • Maintaining appropriate client contact and engagement on relevant key issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with Business Management procedures and office systems.
