Job BriefThe incumbent will be accountable to promote products and services to customers, discover and pursue new sales prospects, negotiate contracts, and maintain customer satisfaction with the aim of maximizing profits.
ACCOUNTABILITIES- Adhere to all Zahrawi Policies & Procedures as applicable.
Market Knowledge:
- Conduct market research to identify new potential customers.
- Analyze market trends to identify new products in the market and understand their advantages and disadvantages.
- Collect and analyze market data for better market segmentation, targeting, and promotion.
- Use the analyzed data to create, develop, and execute market plans and targeted segments, then forecast the target market share and the potential units to be consumed and/or utilized within the market.
- Plan and assist with new product releases and events.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
Business Development:
- Conduct scientific discussions with end users to find out their new requirements and opportunities.
- Update and educate end users on new products and possibilities.
- Learn about the weaknesses of our competitors and the strengths of our product and accordingly update our team.
- Conduct regular visits to all our customers to ensure quality service and inform the team about sales leads.
- Establish long-term productive, professional relationships with key opinion leaders and/or end users in the assigned market.
- Conduct refreshment and medical campaigns/sessions/presentations to existing and new customers.
Clinical Application:
- Maintain excellent product, medical, and clinical knowledge for the assigned product line/specialty.
- Provide clinical assistance and training to existing & potential users of Cardiovascular products.
- Introduce and provide demos of new products to end users.
- Attend customer calls with the sales teams.
- Coordinate conferences and materials.
- Assist customers with the equipment that is being used.
- Attend surgeries along with the doctors and nurses and assist them with any issues they might be facing with the equipment.
Commercial Support:
- Support the sales team for handling projects in terms of specifications and technical comparison discussions with end users.
- Coordinate with the sales team to know more about competition and provide arguments in a scientific way.
- Prepare training certificates for customer training attendees.
- Manage and follow up all marketing activities and events, and post-market activities and actions.
- Visit clinicians and healthcare professionals from different specialties in governmental and private sectors to promote Al Zahrawi Product Portfolio from a clinical point of view.
- Work with the sales team toward increasing sales opportunities and expanding existing and new business.
Marketing:
- Coordinate with the Marketing Department for any new materials that need to be done.
- Execute marketing strategies at the local level, leveraging resources appropriately and working successfully with company team members and counterparts to share ideas and information to enhance business results.
Communication with Principal Companies:
- Communicate with principals on technical information.
- Communicate with principals on any queries of the customer which cannot be resolved from our end.
- Keep updated with the latest training schedules and training materials.
- Attend all relevant webinars conducted by the principals.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: 1+ years in medical sales (with clinical application) within KSA market.
- Job Specific Skills: Sound technical knowledge about human anatomy; good MS Office skills; good communication skills & English language; good presentation and negotiation skills; familiarity with data analysis & reporting.
- Additional Details: Candidate should be a Saudi National; based in Riyadh and will be covering all KSA regions. Should have a valid KSA driving license.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1.Observes and monitors catheterization procedures for normal/abnormal patterns. Uses knowledge to evaluate results observed and immediately informs the cardiologist of any ECG or pressure changes.
2.Makes preliminary analysis and hemodynamic interpretation for the cardiologist's further study and diagnosis. Insures recording all findings and incorporating these into patient's medical record/system database.
3.Carries out all catheterization procedures under direction of cardiologist. Assists with scrub duties and positions radiographic equipment correctly.
4.Analyses and assesses temporary and permanent pacemaker lead (s) and programs pacemaker devices.
5.Receives and completes on a timely manner the work assignments from the manager of the department and gives assignments to technical staff.
6.Assists the manager with daily operational activities, problems solving and coordinating with physicians/floors regarding patients’ preparation and transportation.
7.Insures the availability of proper equipment and supplies prior Cath procedure and inform the manager of the shortage or need for equipment repair.
8.Determines the needs for further training of the cardiovascular technologist staff.
9.Assists the training, education, and supervision of students, fellows, and new staff members and the evaluation of their performance. Interviews and orients new staff.
10.Ensures that clinical equipment is safe and functional and performs routine equipment maintenance. Informs the manager of safety hazards or need for repair/maintenance.
11.Assists with emergency resuscitation measures.

**Education**:
Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Associate Degree/Diploma in Health Sciences and completion of accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology is required.
**Experience Required**:
- Grade 09:
Two (2) years of related experience with Master’s, four (4) years with Bachelor’s, or six (6) years with Associate Degree/Diploma is required.
- Grade 10:
- Four (4) years as Senior Cardiovascular Technologist (Invasive) at KFSH&RC.
- Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.
- One hundred (100) hours of cumulative continued medical education (CME).
**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:
- Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
- Certificate in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is required.
- English proficiency is essential.

Basic Function
Provides wide range of direct and complex nursing care to Operating Room patients requiring advanced nursing skills. Functions as a preceptor and role model for new hires and other identified staff. Provides clinical assistance to staff nurses, practical nurses, patient care assistants and nursing interns in the execution of their responsibilities and gives clinical resource support to the charge nurse. Acts as back up charge nurse when oriented.
Scope
Working within Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare Nursing & Clinical Services Department in Dhahran, Al Hasa, Udhailiyah, Ras Tanura, and Abqaiq.
The Sr. Nurse Clinician provides complex professional nursing care to the patient using independent nursing judgment within defined programs, protocols, policies, procedures and standing orders. Receives supervision and direction from the Charge Nurse and unit manager. Work is performed on any shift, as required, in the Operating Room (OR) of the Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) facilities.
Work hours are assigned to meet operational needs. Hours may include on call and scheduled overtime.
Direction is through the unit manager.
Principal Contacts
Ongoing with patients and their families home caregivers for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care; with new hire and newly assigned nursing staff for orientation and integration into the nursing unit; routinely with clinicians for carrying out clinician orders, assisting with medical procedures, and reporting changes in the patient's condition and/or needs. ; Ongoing with Charge Nurse for collaborating and reporting.
Occasional public and community contact through communicating policy changes, revisions, and/or introduction of new work rules.
Occasional with other JHAH and outside services.
Principal Duties
**1) ASSESSMENT**:
Acts as resource to other staff members during the assessment of complex patient/family needs.
Assists other staff members in improving their knowledge and skills, giving input when needs are identified.
Assesses the need for suitable staff development program/s in the assigned clinical area to ensure effective patient care.
**2) PLANNING**:
A. Serves as direct care clinical resource in developing, coordinating, and reviewing the patient’s plan of care.
**3) IMPLEMENTATION/INTERVENTIONS**:
Provides total, direct nursing care to patients requiring advanced, skilled or complex care.
Completes specific competencies as identified by the supervisor.
Responds to age specific life-saving situations within OR based upon nursing standards and protocols and initiates BLS.
Ensures correct patient, correct site and correct procedure is being performed.
Acts as scrub or circulating nurse as allocated by the Supervisor.
Sets up the operating room according to the type of operation and as per AORN recommendations.
Assists the surgeon during operative procedures.
Ensures all pre, intra and post op documentation is completed in the relevant format and in a timely manner.
Is familiar with the specialized equipment used in OR and is able to handle equipment malfunction during surgery.
Observes and maintains strict aseptic practices.
Precepts new hires and nursing interns and mentors nursing staff with identified needs.
Assists clinicians with the more complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Performs procedures requiring advanced competency skills or training in the expanded nursing roles.

**4) EVALUATION**:
Acts as resource to other staff members during the evaluation of complex patient care.
Evaluates the progress of new hires, nursing interns, and other identified staff and gives input to the charge nurse, supervisor, and/or nursing intern coordinator.
**5) PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS**:
Participates in the planning, implementing and evaluating patient care conferences and unit in-services.
Evaluates patient care supplies/equipment and gives input to the charge nurse/supervisor.
Serves as direct clinical resource in the development, review, revision, and implementation of nursing policies, and procedures, standards of care, and applicable medical organization policies.
Represents unit or department on committees, special interest groups, and task forces.
Treats customers (guests, patients, nurses, physicians and other employees) with courtesy, respect and caring behaviors.
Always answers a patient’s call light/bell even if it is not an assigned patient and always takes the initiative to assist the patient.
Presents a positive image of JHAH through professional appearance and behavior.
