Job Purpose
- Fulfilment of Robot and Additionally Laser, Punch & Bend programming requirements of LSA aligned with the Production Targets.
- Ensure that all Programming Activities in LSA Factory are being performed and set to meet the Production Requirements.
- The Robot Programmer Role involves regular and close interactions with all Operations Department specially Assembly and Fabrication. Furthermore, interactions with Maintenance are often required.
The position is responsible to:
ROBOT PROGRAMMING:
- To meet the Laser Welding (preferably Trumpf) Robot programming requirement for LSA.
- To implement new ideas to optimize the Laser Robot programs for cycle time reduction.
- To meet the MIG Welding Robot programming requirement for LSA.
- To explore the new robot (Laser / MIG) welding technique for programming parts for different applications.
- To release Laser, Punch & Bend Programs for LSA requirements in line with the production plan & department procedures.
- Programming improvements on a continuous scale to achieve higher nesting efficiency as per SMART target.
- Weekly reporting of all programming related KPIs like Nesting efficiency, Nesting Savings.
- BOM Downloading for the ERP System (D365).
- BOM validation and error reporting to Contracts/ Engineering for corrective actions (ECR/ECN process).
- To maintain the Punch, Bend & EHRT tool stock.
- To suggest and implement cost reductions thought ECR/ECN process for component design change & thickness reduction.
- Design and supply Templates.
- Design/Coordinate and get design and supply Jigs/Fixtures.
- Design and supply Trolleys/Pallets/Racks/Tools/Workbenches etc.
- To update weekly/Monthly department reports.
- Maintenance of Existing fixture periodically through production operatives.
- Maintenance of spares for the fixtures.
- Facilitate safe working environment for people and implement H&S guidelines and regulations.
- To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the company.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI (Welder).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience on relevant skills as detailed above.
