Role Summary
Coordinate commissioning and startup activities for overall plant and utilities systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan loop checks, punchlist management, and installation test packs (ITPs).
- Facilitate coordination between disciplines, contractors, and vendors.
- Maintain commissioning schedules and paperwork.
- Track and close deficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant experience in commissioning coordination across multi-discipline phosphate/fertilizer/petrochemical or relevant projects.
- Familiar with electrical, mechanical, instruments, and utilities control systems.

Position Overview:
The Senior C&C Mechanical (Line J) is responsible for overseeing the completion and commissioning of mechanical systems on a construction project site. This includes planning, coordinating, and executing mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and HSE guidelines. The role is key in ensuring mechanical systems are safely tested, energized, and ready for handover to the client or operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning (Line J) activities on assigned systems and equipment.
- Coordinate with construction (Line I), quality assurance, vendors, and operations teams to ensure seamless system handover and readiness.
- Develop and execute Mechanical Completion (MC) and Pre-Commissioning (PC) checklists and test packs.
- Support the planning and development of commissioning procedures, workpacks, schedules, and resource plans for mechanical scope.
- Lead system walkdowns, identify punch items, and coordinate their closeout in line with project turnover strategy.
- Interface with the Completions Management System (CMS) to track status, progress, and documentation of mechanical systems.
- Ensure all mechanical systems are commissioned according to project timelines, with all HSE and quality standards met.
- Collaborate with vendors for specialized mechanical equipment commissioning and acceptance testing.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior C&C mechanical personnel.
- Participate in system handover reviews, ensuring all documentation (e.g., test records, redline drawings, ITRs) is complete and accurate.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experienced in mechanical construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning on large-scale industrial or energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, such as rotating/static equipment, pumps, piping systems, pressure vessels, and HVAC.
- Proven experience in C&C activities within Line J scope (mechanical commissioning).
- Familiarity with industry standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.) and HSE best practices.
- Proficiency in using Completions Management Systems.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
- Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic site-based environment with tight deadlines and evolving scopes.
