Job Purpose

Ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all mechanical systems, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing system performance across DACO’s airport infrastructure.

Position Accountability Description

Strategic Leadership:

1. Formulate and execute a comprehensive mechanical systems strategy, ensuring the effective operation maintenance of HVAC, water, and fire systems in alignment with DACO’s operational goals.

2. Drive strategic initiatives for enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of mechanical systems, including the integration of advanced technologies for system monitoring and energy optimization.

3. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance and reliability of HVAC, water, and fire systems, driving optimization strategies to improve system effectiveness.

Operational Excellence:

4. Lead the development and implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance processes for mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety and operational standards.

5. Direct the monitoring, testing, and maintenance of HVAC, water supply, and fire suppression systems to ensure continuous functionality and safety.

6. Oversee lifecycle cost analyses for mechanical systems, identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving operational efficiency through energy and water use optimization.

7. Lead capacity planning efforts to optimize mechanical system operations, ensuring that the current and future demands of DACO’s airport infrastructure are met efficiently.

8. Oversee the implementation and monitoring of mechanical systems management tools, improving system oversight, energy use, and maintenance scheduling.

9. Conduct regular assessments of DACO’s HVAC, water, and fire systems to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, and safety standard.

10. Lead performance improvement initiatives by leveraging data-driven insights and best practices to enhance mechanical system reliability and operational efficiency.

11. Direct the integration of advanced technologies, such as building management systems (BMS), to optimize system performance and enhance energy efficiency across all airport facilities.

Stakeholder Management:

12. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Operations, Facilities, and Finance teams, to align mechanical systems strategies with broader airport operational needs and sustainability goals.

13. Foster relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, service providers, and contractors, to ensure compliance with industry standards and timely delivery of maintenance services, KPI achievement.

14. Represent DACO in industry forums and conferences to stay informed of emerging trends, new technologies, and best practices in mechanical systems management.

Team Leadership and Development:

15. Lead, monitor , and develop a high-performing team of mechanical systems professionals, fostering a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.

16. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members, ensuring their alignment with organizational goals and fostering their professional growth.

17. Implement training programs to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the mechanical systems team, ensuring they are prepared to manage and troubleshoot advanced systems.

Financial Management:

18. Develop and manage the mechanical systems budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for system maintenance, upgrades, and operational needs.

19. Conduct financial analyses of mechanical systems projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with DACO’s long-term sustainability and operational goals.

20. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through the effective management of energy and water resources, improving the financial performance of DACO’s mechanical systems.

Risk and Compliance Management:

21. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards related to HVAC, water supply, and fire suppression systems, minimizing operational risks and ensuring safety.

22. Conduct regular audits and assessments of DACO’s mechanical systems to ensure adherence to safety, operational, and environmental standards.

23. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to manage potential disruptions to mechanical systems, ensuring readiness in case of system failures or emergencies.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

24. Drive innovation in mechanical systems management by adopting new technologies and best practices that improve operational efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and enhance system reliability.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum of 12 years of total experience in managing mechanical systems (HVAC, water, and fire systems), with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale infrastructure.

JOB PURPOSE:

Lincoln College International (LCI) is seeking a specialist trainer with expertise in Electrical Systems, covering the design, operation, maintenance, diagnostics, and interpretation of primarily electrical technologies with some additional focus on electronic technologies. The role will span integrating and applying electrical and electronic systems across various industrial platforms. Training delivery will primarily be situated within the context of defense systems, ensuring relevance to applications across aerospace, land and naval sectors.

The successful candidate will prepare, deliver, and assess training supporting the progression of trainees into specialist roles within the industry.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, candidates will be required to undergo enhanced background security checks as part of the recruitment process.

Good competency in English is mandatory. Non-native candidates must provide proof of English competency through IELTS, TOEFL, STEP, or a similar language exam.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Training & Course Delivery

  1. Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical training in a range of modules, including:

    • MRO for Aerospace and Defense Electrical and Avionics Systems

    • Power Circuits and Transmission (Fundamentals through to Advanced)

    • High Voltage Technology and System Integrity

    • Electrical Machine Elements and Drive Systems

    • PCB Manufacturing, Assembly and Inspection

    • Electronics Diagnostics: Testing, Calibration and Troubleshooting

  2. Design and implement engaging, hands-on lessons, workshops, and assessments that align with industry standards and best practices.

  3. Ensure training is industry-focused, with a strong emphasis on real-world applications and technical competencies.

  4. Assess trainees’ practical and theoretical understanding, providing structured feedback to support learning and skill development.

  5. Maintain high teaching and learning quality standards through peer reviews and lesson observations.

  6. Actively engage and motivate trainees, fostering technical excellence and professional behaviors.

Course & Program Development

  1. Manage course content and success rates, ensuring effective learning outcomes.

  2. Develop and refine training materials to align with industry advancements and regulatory requirements.

Those meeting the minimum educational qualifications, but lacking work experience may be considered for the Saudi Junior Teacher Development Program.

SALARY AND BENEFITS (NON-NEGOTIABLE) :

  • Base salary SAR17,000 per month TAX FREE

  • Housing allowance SAR 4,250per month TAX FREE

  • Transportation allowance SAR 500per month TAX FREE

  • Flight allowance SAR 500per month TAX FREE

Monthly Gross Salary – 22,250 SAR

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Based onsite at our plant in Dammam (Saudi Arabia), we are looking for a Reliability Engineer specialist in Electrical/Systems. They will be a part of the Facility Operations team which is dedicated to ensure that all Electrical/System/Controls (BMS) assets perform safely and at ultimate level of performance. As a key contributor to our reliability efforts, this position will have a comprehensive and analytical approach to predict, prevent, eliminate or reduce equipment failures through application of current reliability techniques. Also, they will design and implement reliability improvement standards, on-going training and education, and equipment modifications in order to achieve world class maintenance reliability. The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for full Life Cycle Asset Management and for keeping our deployed technology systems current.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Technically responsible for part of / all electrical components of the plant
  • Perform failure mode and effect analysis to assure the proper Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs are implemented, audited and improved on all existing and future assets
  • Application of Reliability Based Maintenance programs such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Assess & develop capability of systems and multiskilled crafts on their role in reliability improvement and to advance their technical capabilities
  • Analyze data (failure, cost, uptime, etc.) using appropriate reliability analysis tools to develop & implement improvement plans
  • Serve as the equipment reliability Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the business and lead reliability improvement teams
  • Manage and report KPIs detailing all the results of the reliability programs activities
  • Provide leadership support for Maintenance Conscious Engineering strategies
  • Perform & document equipment criticality analysis in support of an effective critical spares strategy
  • Participate in the Management of Change process to optimize the reliability of new equipment or processes
  • Submit recommendations and justification for capital expenditures that support and improve the Reliability Program
  • Provide an external awareness of methods and technologies that advance our own internal body of knowledge for the improvement of our operations reliability
  • Able to interface with and troubleshoot motor control equipment properly and safely: motor starters, run relays; Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs); Servo motors and controls
  • Able to interface with and troubleshoot Allen Bradley, Siemens and other plant PLCs including: connecting to the PLC, reading ladder logic, programming, diagnosing hardware and software problems
  • Effectively maintain programming, hardware networking and communication; troubleshoot, determine causes of failure and perform corrective actions
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution, proper maintenance practices for safe and effective operations, and identification of necessary renewal.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering related discipline from an accredited University
  • Professional reliability credentials such as: Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician
  • Prior experience with PLCs and must be able to read and understand various types of PLC logic and programming structures
  • Experience with maintaining high voltage systems and electrical distribution
  • Experience with reliability analysis, predictive (PdM), and preventative maintenance (PM)
  • High level of understanding and ability to use analytical tools and troubleshooting
  • Good communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Understanding of safety components (Relays, I/O, controllers) and ability to troubleshoot safety circuits
  • Basic understanding of Robotics Systems and emerging technologies with troubleshooting and programming experience
Work location

Onsite Dammam (must be able to commute and reach the Plant at short notice and work extra time when needed)
