Atkins Middle East is engaged with a major private client, based in Riyadh, working on KSA government projects. Part of this engagement consists of surveying a range of secure government communication assets and related facilities throughout the Kingdom.
The Building Services Engineer will form part of a 2 man survey team, working alongside a Lead Building Surveyor. The team will be project managed from Riyadh with the requirement to travel extensively throughout KSA to undertake condition assessments at over 100 government sites throughout the Kingdom.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with leading organisations within KSA and to form a key role in this exciting national programme.

+ Experienced in resource management and leading a large project team. Able to assess team capability, distribute tasks and control the flow of work.
+ Excellent risk management skills, able to raise, control and mitigate risk effectively and in a timely manner.
+ Review project commercials along with the stage deliverables on monthly basis and report to the project director and Team Leaders.
+ Project financial control, end of month reporting on project financial status, possible VOs, invoicing status, WIP and debt.
+ Ensure project management procedure is followed as per company practice including QA.
+ Reporting to the direct report on project technical and commercial performance. Keep the project team informed of key deliverables, deadlines, program, progress, issues, and changes.
+ Review and endorse MEP design documents to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
+ Establishing and monitoring project key performance indicators (KPIs) for the project to comply with all company policies, procedures and guidelines.
+ Bachelor's degree in building services with a mechanical or electrical bias; master's degree is a plus.
+ Preferably Chartered with a reputable professional body (CIBSE, IET, etc.)
+ Minimum of 18 years of experience in MEP design, with a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering background.
+ A high sense of ownership and accountability
+ Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire, develop and motivate a large team.
+ Out of box thinking and problem solving.
+ In-depth knowledge of MEP codes, standards, and best practices.
+ Experience working in the GCC region is highly desirable.
