We are seeking a creative, organised and technically skilled Content Creator focused on videography and photography to enrich and expand Art Jameel’s visual archive while supporting storytelling across our digital platforms, publications and campaigns. The content creator is responsible for supporting the upcoming Hayy Makers space in managing the Photography Studio. This role is ideal for someone proactive and passionate about the arts, with a keen eye for narrative and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of image-making.

Accountability : Senior Manager Marketing

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Produce high-quality photography and videography documenting Art Jameel’s programmes, exhibitions, public events, spaces and behind-the-scenes activities
  • Edit and deliver photo and video assets promptly for use across social media, website, press releases, publications, and internal documentation
  • Collaborate closely with the communications and programmes teams to plan and execute shoots that align with Art Jameel’s brand and storytelling objectives
  • Manage and organise the visual library, ensuring systematic cataloguing, tagging, captioning and archiving for easy retrieval and long-term preservation
  • Create engaging short-form video content optimised for social media platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) while maintaining Art Jameel’s tone and aesthetic
  • Support live documentation of events where necessary, including operating live-stream setups or capturing live performance documentation
  • Liaise with artists and collaborators to secure permissions for documentation and ensure sensitivity to artistic practices and audience privacy where applicable
  • Maintain and manage photography and videography equipment, ensuring readiness for shoots and advising on equipment upgrades when necessary
  • Keep abreast of trends in digital storytelling, video production, and photography within the arts and cultural sectors, bringing innovative ideas to enhance Art Jameel’s content strategy
  • Support in building a clear filing structure and process guidelines to support team access to the visual library
  • Build and maintain a wide network of freelance photographers and videographers, supporting administrative processes related to onboarding and briefing freelancers and ensure alignment with Art Jameel’s standards and workflows
  • Assist in scheduling and setting up equipment for Hayy Makerspace Photography Studio
  • Provide basic technical support for lighting, cameras, and Photography studio equipment.
  • Ensure that the Photography studio is maintained, organised, and kept in functional condition – including keeping an up-to-date inventory of all photography gear and coordinating maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Support members and artists using the Photography studio, providing guidance or training where necessary.
  • To provide overall support to Makerspace when needed.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in visual communications, filmmaking, journalism or related fields
  • Full proficiency in Adobe’s Creative Suite and graphic design skills is a plus

We are looking for a flexible and highly motivated Content Producer with expertise in videography and editing to create compelling video content in collaboration with internal teams and clients. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be capable of working independently, with small teams, or with freelancers to produce exciting audiovisual content for both traditional and digital platforms.

As part of a newly developed content and digital hub, you will manage requests and briefs from a team of over 100 people across the region, serving more than 50 clients, and coordinating with a network of freelancers and agencies. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be client-facing, managing multiple projects, tight deadlines, and providing constructive feedback when necessary.

You will also be responsible for setting up and managing our post-production pipeline and backend systems, as well as helping to build and improve our production infrastructure. Your expertise will be key in advising on how to grow and refine the department to best serve our clients' needs.
