About the role …

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a forward-thinking and experienced Manager - Cloud Resilience Architecture to lead our efforts in developing robust and resilient cloud strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing cloud architectures that ensure high availability, performance, and security for our diverse applications and services, aligning with our vision of creating a premier destination for entertainment and culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud resilience architecture strategy that aligns with Qiddiya's business goals and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with IT, application development, and cybersecurity teams to ensure cloud architectures are designed for optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of cloud service providers, ensuring that contracts meet the organization's requirements for resilience, compliance, and cost effectiveness.
  • Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans that support organizational resilience and mitigate potential risks.
  • Monitor cloud performance and resilience, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary enhancements to architectures as needed.
  • Conduct regular assessments of cloud infrastructure and services in relation to industry benchmarks and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to team members and stakeholders regarding cloud architecture and resilience best practices.
  • Promote a culture of resilience across the organization by training and educating staff on cloud services and risk management strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, trends, and regulations to drive continuous improvement in cloud strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on resilience and disaster recovery.
  • Strong understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Proven experience with designing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a focus on building relationships across teams.
  • Cloud-related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are preferred.
