The jobholder, as part of the Maintenance Department, will have the following missions, responsibilities and main activities for the services performed in the Subsidiary.
Core Responsibility Areas
- Working as part of a team, specific duties will include the satisfactory performance of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the PSS C295 fleet, within a Customer Services environment.
- Undertaking individually or as part of a team, aircraft maintenance, repair and inspection tasks, quality checks and the completion of documentation in accordance with Company and Customer procedures.
- Performing duties as assigned by the Team/Shift Leader, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely fashion and meets the delivery quality requirements of the ASL Maintenance Organization.
- Verify that the aircraft status regarding scheduled tasks and deferred items is updated, the aircraft condition is serviceable and sign the Release to Service of the aircraft, when applicable.
- Ensuring that all work performed is recorded on the appropriate paperwork and signed for on a progressive basis
- Ensuring the correct use and control of aircraft parts and materials.
- Checking every time before to start any maintenance activity tools/GSE´s for condition and expiration date and ensure their correct use.
- Checking every time before starting any maintenance activity the components and parts for conditions (damages, leaks etc.) and that the applicability of the documentation is correct
- Adhere to all company, regulatory and Health and Safety procedures
- Negotiation level at English language (Technical & Aeronautical)
- Proven problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability / flexibility to work and to adapt in different environments
- Highest standard in terms of quality, reliability and safety

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
To carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs and modifications for Tornado on and off aircraft.
May be required to provide support to RSAF away from Tornado Support Service (TSS).
Performs major and minor mechanical maintenance, repairs, modifications and TCTOs for Tornado on and off aircraft.
Is responsible for the quality and completeness of the work he carries out, or signs for as having been carried out, on an aircraft or aircraft component in accordance with the approved data.
Works within the requirements of the TSS Quality Management System, Safety Management System and RSAF Technical Orders.
Completes Maintenance paperwork forms, appropriate aircraft forms, records and maintenance documentation both hard and electronic copies.
Ensures maximum effort is made to safeguard the TSS programme timescales in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Highlights to his immediate supervisor areas of inexperience or training requirements, for himself and others.
Provides on-the-job and theory training for trainees.
Deputises, if required, for the aircraft supervisor.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Extensive experience within an operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR experience on Tornado aircraft OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/TSNTTP).
Current authorisations for aircraft maintenance.
Completion of Tornado Aircraft maintenance course.
Working knowledge of Q-pulse, GOLD and an understanding of M&CA processes.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Hold a current driving licence.
A sound understanding of the RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publication applicable to his work area.

JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.
The purpose of this role is to perform scheduled inspections, maintenance and unscheduled rectification of Aircraft Equipment and associated components, Bay support, and activities for PC9 Flight Line and Intermediate Maintenance operations. You will achieve and maintain Production Inspections signatory capability for authorised specific trade certifications, and obtain and maintain certifications to support specialty and aircraft maintenance functions, achieving specialty cross utilisation training (CUT) qualifications.
You will also provide On the Job Training (OJT) function and Production Inspections. Troubleshooting, inspections, removals - installations, repairs, and operates PC9 Flight Line and Intermediate Maintenance operations and associated support and test equipment.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To provide operationally capable aircraft in support of KFAA pilot training programmes through carrying out aircraft maintenance tasks: Flight Line Servicing/tasks, scheduled servicing, fault troubleshooting/rectification, modifications, inspections/evaluations of aircraft systems/components and other related aircraft systems within the AMT specialty at the Intermediate/Organisational level maintenance for training aircraft.
- To provide technical specialty support in the evaluation, interpretation, determinations of requisite maintenance faults & corrective actions, performance and operational status of specialty specific aircraft systems, components, testing and use of support equipment.
- Be able to achieve and maintain Production Inspections signatory capability for authorised specific trade certifications.
- Able to acquire user expertise and become conversant with the RSAF aircraft data management and tracking computer system – AUTO LOG, MIRO Gold.
- Able to understand and comply with the RSAF Safety and Foreign Object Programme.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
- Qualifications: National civilian/military equivalent recognised aircraft maintenance traineeship/apprenticeship.
- Relevant type training (‘Q’ Course) and equipment specific training if required.
- Have extensive post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR extensive experience on same aircraft type OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP).
- Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
- Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.
- Computer literate with an understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be a quality minded, mature individual that adopts a positive and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance and support issues.
- Must have and be able to demonstrate sound oral and written two-way communication skills with the ability to be tactful, discreet and confident in dealing with people at all levels.
- Be able to work in close harmony in a mixed EE/SN workforce.
- Must be able to work on their own initiative to resolve complex technical issues.
- Broad aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge.
- A sound understanding of the RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications applicable to their work area.
- Have completed a PC9 Aircraft Systems specific training courses appropriate to specialties.
