An AV Technician is responsible for setting up audio, video, and lighting that meet requirements to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while troubleshooting issues and providing solutions.

**What will I be doing?**
As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for setting up audio, video, and lighting that meet requirements to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.   • Visually identify and assemble all equipment to the correct specification.
  • Assess the suitability of any given piece of equipment for the job it has been specified to do.
  • Demonstrate competence and a level of understanding of the following equipment:
    • Multi image Data display systems including, LCD and Plasma display technologies.
    • Computer to Projector interfacing, switching and routing.
    • Video / Data signal processing.
    • Computer networking.
    • Basic Rigging skills.
    • Multi Speaker Source Audio Systems including front of house.
    • PA systems, fold back systems and signal processing devices.
    • Stage lighting techniques including knowledge of moving lights.
    • Video playback devices, Video cameras and Video display devices.
    • Audio and Video recording devices.
  • Install, operate and pack down equipment in a safe manner.
  • Test and check installed equipment including aligning, tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to operate any of the above components in a show situation.
  • Ensure correct equipment entry onto the equipment rental software, including bar codes.
  • Any anomalies, omissions or shortages should be brought to the attention of the Head of Department / Operations Director immediately.
  • Ensure that all equipment and flight case tour labels are marked up correctly for specific jobs.
  • Prior to the load in, ensure a full briefing has been received from the Project Manager of show responsibilities.
  • Support the technical departments with routine maintenance and repair of fixtures when necessary.
  • Keep up to date with the latest fixtures and technology within the company.
  • Faulty/damaged equipment to be clearly marked and HOD / Operations Manager / Service Manager notified of this at the earliest opportunity.

What You'll Do

  • Earn piece rate pay and enjoy an unlimited commission plan.
  • Become an expert on smart home technology by training on industry-leading products.
  • Manage inventory and assets with a business owner mentality.
  • Install, service, and troubleshoot cutting-edge smart home technology in customer homes.
  • Create solutions to protect and simplify customers' lives.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inventory of company products and equipment.
  • Explain and provide detailed system capabilities and operational instructions to various customers.
  • Control your own income by providing opportunities for customers to purchase additional products and services.
  • Leverage service and installation appointments into leads and revenue.

What We're Looking For

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Sales experience and/or field service experience is helpful. (Experience as a construction worker, electrician, or other technical background is helpful but not required)
  • Someone who thrives in a team environment and can also be trusted to work independently.
  • Willingness to submit to a criminal background check.
  • Current valid driver's license and reliable transportation

The Position

This position is at our front lines, actively coordinating between engineering, sales, and our customers. You will assist in supporting our catalog of cybersecurity products from troubleshooting issues for clients who have deployed our products to innovating exciting ways to help us always improve our products. Every day will have interesting new problems to solve across our entire technology stack - from hardware and software applications to managing client cases as the go-to expert. You should be excited to learn, teach, and collaborate! The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Provides software application & technical support to clients for our product catalog.
  • Consulting with the software development team, internal users, and clients to improve application performance.
  • Documenting new processes and improving existing processes as they come up.
  • Communicate with internal team and supporting teams as necessary.
  • Provides SME Tier 1-2 support on OPSWAT catalog as they exist in client environments.
  • Provides occasional presales and professional service/technical support as needed.
  • Maintains case data in Salesforce and Jira.
  • Reports bugs and flaws to the development team as discovered/encountered.
  • Willing to provide and teach knowledge they have to their team. Willing to learn and grow with knowledge they may lack.

What We Need From You

  • 3 to 5 years of experience (remotely and hands on) in overall troubleshooting of application and environment support including complex client environments.
  • Understanding of networking and systems including OSI model, Purdue Model, RADIUS, Active Directory, Office 365, authentication protocols.
  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and advising using GUI and CLI for Linux.
  • Ability to multitask and react well under pressure in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, customer service, and written/verbal communication skills with not only your immediate group, but with other internal and customer facing groups.

It Would Be Nice If You Had

  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and advising using GUI and CLI for MacOS, Windows Server, Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V, Docker, other), Databases (Postgres, SQL, MySQL, other), Email Systems (Exchange, G Suite, other), Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, other), Encryption methods (SSL, TLS, Bitlocker, other) Experience at a tier 2/3 support level.
  • Experience with business or homegrown application support including utilizing and understanding API's (REST, other).
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools and software.
  • Experience imaging, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and advising using GUI and CLI for firewalls, routers, switches, hubs, load balancers, servers, desktops, and SAN/NAS. Operation Technology (OT) experience is a plus.
