**Your New Role**:
The Assistant Project Manager will support the KSA Team with various operational and administrative support tasks.
Responsibilities include assisting with administrative elements of report production and advisory services; liaison with and closing outstanding client invoices, payments and other administration; general support to the KSA Team.
The post will also liaise and support the UK-based Finance Team with issues and actions associated with the KSA business.
**Key Accountabilities**:

- Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.

Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in coordinating and executing infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. **Job Description:**
Parsons is now hiring an experienced Project Manager with a desire to work on creating innovative, practical solutions to various projects that enhance the fabric of our community. In this role you will be responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms and corporate policies. Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your experience coordinating projects through all phases of project inception, programming, design, and closeout will propel your career and leadership opportunities forward. **Responsibilities:**
+ Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution.
+ Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors.
+ Markets and secures additional work with client.
+ Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project. May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
+ Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
+ Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project, and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
+ Responsible for the development and distribution of a one to two page description of the project to all members of the project team for reference.
+ Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
+ Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
+ Field responsibilities may include labor relations, local procurement and payroll operations, etc., if required.
+ Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
+ Discusses the qualifications required of the key project positions in specific detail with the profit center and department managers.
+ Collaborates with the office facilities staff to address project space requirements.
+ Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project.
+ Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
+ Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
+ Advises the client and company management of any such changes.
+ The Project Manager is specifically responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders.
+ Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes.
+ Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
+ Establishes weekly meeting to review project status and formulate action items.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering related technical/business field
+ 12+ years of related asset management experience is required, with 5+ years of related experience on related projects
+ Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background.
+ Professional registration may also be required.
+ Must have the ability to manage projects, interface with clients and enjoy being hands on technically in the project.
+ Our Project Managers still get very involved in the designs on the project.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards
+ Incumbent must meet Parsons' project management certification requirements.
+ Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications

ResponsibilitiesOur newest opportunity is for an Assistant Project Manager with an Architecture background to join our award-winning Design team based in Riyadh, KSA.
This position is responsible for supporting the Project Manager with the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of the project(s), including such aspects as the establishment of the project delivery strategy, planning, administration, schedule and cost control, project reporting, design reviews for completeness and constructability, management and coordination of all parties involved.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Reporting to and advising senior management and clients as required on all elements and facets of managing the design and construction process.
- Corresponding with consultants, contractors and authorities.
- Maintaining sound management processes and document control procedures; overseeing quality assurance & file management.
- Monitoring, reviewing and managing the performance of all consultants and contractors providing services to the client using contract deliverables, schedules and budgets.
- Attending or chairing meetings and/or workshops with consultants and contractors, preparing meeting minutes and follow up to achieve identified actions.
- Assessing and monitoring risk and contractual exposure for the client and KEO.
- Evaluating and recommending contract Variation Orders, payments certificates and invoices for client approval.
- Reviewing and reporting on Cost Estimates, design submissions, technical reports.
- Supporting the Project Manager to ensure the delivery of the contracted PM services to the client.
- Participating in establishing and implementing the Project Management Plan and procedures.
- Supporting the Project Manager in:
- Preparation of the tender strategy; identification of qualified consultants, contractors and vendors; preparation and issue of RFP’s and the evaluation of proposals.
- Overseeing and guiding consultants design progress activities. Monitoring and verification of design progress and submittals at all design phases.
- Organizing/managing design review meetings, workshops and reports during design phases.
- Preparation of monthly progress reports and minutes of meeting.
- Administering contracts to ensure that all parties discharge their relevant scope of services and deliverables in accordance with their respective contracts.
- Reviewing and monitoring project schedules.
- Verification of invoices and assessment of variations and claims.
- Preparing Project Financial Models.
- Project cost monitoring.
- Attend and support permitting meetings with authorities as and when required.
- Attend site RFIs and coordinate with the design team, as and when required.
- Project closing out.
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include at least 5 to 7 years' work experience in design and/or construction building projects , partnered with a Bachelor degree in Architecture , Engineering or Project Management.
- Member of Professional Engineering or Construction Management Society or other recognized body will be viewed favourably.
- Previous work experience in the Middle East would be an advantage.
- Fluent in spoken and written English (Mandatory). Arabic would also be an advantage.
- Expertise in Primavera is very beneficial.
