The AFCAP Large Areas Maintenance Shelter Specialist is responsible for setup, maintenance, and dismantling of large area maintenance shelters.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, installation, operation, maintenance, repairs, and disposal of LAMS/BEAR structures and related systems.
- Read, understand, plan, and execute instructions from manufacturers’ manuals.
- Lead and supervise personnel, schedule and coordinate equipment, materials, and personnel for shelter work.
- Erect, maintain, and dismantle shelters ensuring operational safety and standards.
- Oversee inventory, storage, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Ensure safety regulations are followed to protect personnel and equipment.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and incidents; report to supervisors.
